Big hugs to cheer everyone up too!

Woo hoo - I got the part-time job! £6 an hour and the hours aren't too bad Sat 9am - 4pm and Sun 12pm - 3pm so I can still go swimming on a sunday night. Yippee! I start the 26th August. So £6 X 9.5 hours = £57 (before tax). I shouldn't get taxed too much as I haven't worked much since the new tax year. Ooops am rambling...

Just need to get a full-time job now, i.e. Monday thru' Friday! But just keep getting rejected before interview.

    Oh well onwards and upwards...

    Congratulations.

I've heard said that it is easier to get another job once you already have one so maybe this is the step up that you need - good luck.
Make sure that you get the tax thing sorted - don't want Mr Chancellor to get a penny more than he should.

The good news... I'm owed £60!

The bad news... It's "in the post".

I want it now! I've done nothing towards the challenge for days!
 What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

    Good Luck

I've just sold some baby items from the loft to OH's cousin for £45 - may or may not have got more if I'd sold in the paper but they've gone to a good home and I've been saved the hassle - just the cot left... (know we not having any more babies but still felt quite a wrench getting rid of them)

I know what you mean about it being a wrench to get rid of stuff. I've just sold all my sons Thomas the tank engines on ebay. He never played with them in over a year. Guess what he asked to play with yesterday! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

Oh no LJD1! Poor you, that's so typical  He'll get over not having them though - probably forgotten already in fact!

I get paid from job number 2 tomorrow, so hopefully that's at least another £150 off the total (although realistically, probably only £100!). I've also just made appointments with two new tutoring pupils, so that's another £61 coming in this week - and it means I'll get £94 a week in future just from tutoring !!! I'll just have to make sure I bank it and not fritter it away like I used to
