Ditto. Seamless transfer from TalkTalk, on the day they said it would be. The only hard part will no doubt be getting a small credit due to me by TT...No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Thank you both for your posts, that's really good to know!
Anyone else have any experiences with O2 home phone?0 -
I'm supposed to swap to O2 today. Have not received a text but have received an email stating:
'You're now on O2 Home Phone and your telephone number is 0xxxxxxxxxx. If you're joining us from BT, any calls you make today will still be billed by them.'
This suggests that I actually won't be physically transferred to O2 until tomorrow. Is this peoples experience?
Certainly I can still dial BT specific numbers such as 17070 at the moment, and my broadband hasn't resynched so nobody has physically disconnected the line today.
So why do they state I am 'now on O2 Home Phone'??? Because they are charging line rental from today??? Confusing or what!0 -

Yes, I had the same. Although I have not changed line providers before, I guess it is just part of the transfer process (as long as you don't get charged twice for calls, which I didn't).0 -

Hi mate,
Where you paying TalkTalk for the line rental as well?
I rang up O2 yesterday and they said that I wouldn't be able to switch from Tiscali (TalkTalk) to O2 home phone because it isn't a BT line.
Oh and Hi TheBigCheese0 -
i am very impressed with o2 broadband and mobile and will move to the home phone, what i'm waiting for is a quidco deal.
Anyone know if its going to happen ?0 -
Thanks for the posts guys.
Well I've decided I'm going to go for it, I'm going to ring O2 tonight and see if I can get it sorted out.
I'm going to have to do some serious blagging as I've got to cancel an O2 pro line (I have a pro and premium broadband package with them)...I'm hoping I can get the rest of the pro contract cancelled if I take out the home phone.
I don't think there are any cashback deals going for the home phone, I've been keeping an eye on Topcashback and nothing has appeared on there
Still it's a pretty good deal, it works out a bit cheaper than BT over the course of the year by about £20, even taking into account BTs three months free.
Only thing to bear in mind is what others have said, calls to 0844 and 0871 numbers are twice the price of a BT call!
Hi Azza, a watercooled welcome to these forums!:rotfl:

I've just applied to transfer to O2. Just hope its as good as the broadband. Anything to get away from the dreadful customer service I've received from BT and the sales techniques offered by Talk Talk!0

I'm still not sure we have been transferred to O2.
Despite getting the email from O2 on Tuesday no calls are yet showing in the online account.
Also, dialling 100 still gets through to the BT Operator Menu?!
Can anyone else with O2 Home Phone report what they get when they dial 100?0 -
I've been on O2 Home Phone for a month and I still get the BT menu when dialling 100.
The calls don't show up online instantly, it's probably updated overnight. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
