O2 Landline

Thanks Heinz,
I rang Primus today just to query about a number 0844 861 5454 (1ppm from with TeleDiscount) and the adviser tell me it's 5ppm, which I thought was about the same as VM. So my option now is to go with BT @11.54 monthly line rental. However, if i sign via Quidco, i'll get £25 cash back which works out £2 off per month to @9.50 over 12 months contract. Plus £7.50 for BB from O2. So £17 for phone and BB is a very deal I think. Oh, and that's before Quidco cash back for O2 broadband which is atleast £700 -
i have singed up to o2 home phone, can someone please explain why they think o2 is expensive?
the anytime deal gives you 24/7 landline calls inclusive, you can do the 1 hour hang up trick so you done get charged,
600 mins to 0845/0870 numbers
i think its the same to some international countries
all for £12.50 a month including line rental
i have o2 llu broadband already, i have top package £22.50 a month but for me its £17.50 a month as im an o2 mobile customer also plus i have just gone in to a new 12 month contract and have now got another 3 months free broadband for simply staying another 12 months
i have gone with o2 home bolt on £3.50 a month which gets me caller display, call waiting and call barring, so o2 home is £16 including both on
£16 a month for home phone then
£17.50 for my broadband
£33.50 total for top notch braodband and top phone package with a few extras, this to me is not expensive when you think i have gone full wack on everything
currently with talktalk and paying over £30 a month just for a home phone service so im very happy with o20 -
For me it works out even cheaper - £9.50 pm for their Evening and Weekends Home Phone Package, then £10 per month for their Premium Broadband (up to 20Mb) = 19.50 per month for phone and broadband, with evening calling period starting at 6pm.
I can reduce that to £17 per month if I decide to change to their Standard Broadband (up to 8mb) after I've had the three months free broadband they offer as part of the deal.
I am an O2 pay-as-you go user which helps (although I don't need to use this very much to get my discounts).
I can live without Caller Display (as too many important callers - e.g. from banks and credit card companies - withhold their numbers anyway), but some will obviously pay a little extra to have that.0 -
Well, I've moved to O2 Home Phone. My current charges are:
£12.50 - Anytime
£1.75 - CallerID
£7.50 - Premium Broadband (retention Deal)
Total: £21.75 for a pretty comprehensive package, a bargain if you ask me.0 -
With my broadband at £5 per month (a discount for renewing my 12-month contract) and the £12.50 home phone package, I am effectiveley getting unlimited UK calls, a massive international call allowance, and unlimited 8Mb broadband for £17.50 pm. I am very happy with this deal, and will contuinue to use saynoto0870 for any number which starts with 08 (aside from 0870 and 0845 which are inclusive in the home phone package). In comparison to BT, just line rental and the unlimited calling package would cost £16.53 pm.
If the home phone service is as good as their broadband service, I will be a very happy customer. No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
Hi
For those that have moved to o2 home phone, how did you do it? Is it now available. The Web site below still says "coming soon"

I was considering the new o2 home phone as I have an o2 mobile and broadband. The service is ok ish. Has anyone used the home phone. Can you use other companies or VOIP on top?0

Would also be interested if o2 allow override providers like 18185 but would be surprised if they do0
