I successfully lost just under 2 stones on slimming world years ad years ago(in the days when things like,Canned macaroni cheese were free),I realise the plan has changed massively, especialy with the introduction of Extra Easy etc,but im wondering if it would be just as effective now i want to lose around 10lb...I read somewhere the SW is ideal for bigger weight losses(hence my speedy result when losing 2 stone),but would it be just as effective with less than a stone to lose or would calorie counting be more effective for losing smaller amounts...anyone have any ideas?
    Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.

    GOT TO TARGET..1/2lb under now weigh 10st 6.5(lost 1st 3.5lbs)

    Hi everyone

hoping for a bit of advice from you all, i ve followed this thread since i started sw about 9 weeks ago but i normally post on the wedding board (getting married Dec 2010) and ive managed to lose 1st 6lb and tonight i got my 10% award.

When i first started i have to admit I found the ee plan quite easy but as the weeks have gone im finding it more of a struggle and my weightloss has slowed to 1/2 to 1lb a week. How does everybody get on with the plan long term, i know the plan works but i think ive just hit a rough patch and im not sure how to get out of it. I keep getting told that I can lose between 1 and 4lb a week.

I dont know weather to start a food diary again (though im really good with this), try red/green days, concentrate on more superfree or superspeed, or to just keep plodding on. i now exercise 3 times a week and that makes me feel better in myself but doesnt seem to have an effect on the scales.

    Thanks

I've lost 5 stone 10.5 pounds and I've found that my weight loss has decreased to 0.5 pound - 1 pound a week or even stay the same some weeks.:( My Consultant told me that it is usual for your weight loss to decrease once you've lost quite a bit. Finding it very demoralising when I've been so good.:(

Trying this week to have different "b" choices and to have different food in general; hoping this might kickstart my weight loss.

Back on it today! Feel so so much better knowing Im taking responsibilitym for self :D

Got up early so had strawbs and yoghurt
Having milk in tea for HEA as ever - skimmed naturally!
Just had bacon ( which pretty much dissolved on the foreman so not a lot left!) an egg some beans and lots of mushrooms
Im having diet coke and plenty of water
Will be a couscous salad for a light lunch/ snack with some sort of yoghurt based dressing ( any ideas?)
Dinner is beef stroganoff salad and baby pots and other veg "roasted in frylite" and asparagus ( yum)
My HEB will be 2x alpen lites as ever has anyone seen these on offer anywhere - going through these at a rate of knots lol
Will endavour to make the jaffacake sundae today for pud! I think I have worked out it will be about 7 syns although if i make it smaller then It might be less!

    @Daisy
Your menu looks ok but theres not many syns there you need minimum of 5 per day or else you wont lose weight.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Well Id never usually choose the full fat version of anything with the exception of say cream cheese ( I nowmake do with a lighetr one) as my OH has serious cholestrol problems and high fat - especially sat fats are killing him so i do try to avoid.

Although I have been guilty of making sauces with double cream, personally cant see there is much in it to use yog or quark, certainly the things Ive made dont taste much difference except you dont get that greasy feeling in your mouth afterwards.

Saying that on the rare occasaion I eat bread, only butter will do but I dont eat bread a lot to be honest, OH will have some weird lite marg, I would rather do without :o

    Afternoon all :D

Well done on the losses everyone :j

My EE meal plan for today is...
    • 250ml semi skimmed (A)
    • 125 ml semi skimmed (3)
    • 1 Apple
    • 2 bacon medallions
    • 2 eggs-scrambled
    • baked beans
    • 1 Apple
    • 1/2 tsp olive oil (1)
    • carrots
    • parsnips
    • onions
    • 1 orange
    • hm chilli
    • jacket potato
    • side salad
    • cereal bar (B)
Even after that little lot I'm still low on my syns for the day -so IF I have room I will have one of my 8 syn yogurts ;)
Its a bit of a b*gger because on the days like today where I don't have 2 weetabix (which saves my milk for tea ;)) -I struggle to think of what to have as my healthyB ....which seems to end up being a cereal bar, which then leaves not enough room to wedge a yogurt down my neck -which means I stuggle to use my syns *and breathe* :rotfl:

~Daisy~ I have full fat super creamy yogurts (I don't care if muller lights are free -Im NOT eating them :p) ... I know that I could have a bar of choc for the same syns as my yogs (8syns) -but I LOVE them..and they stop me craving something "naughty" ... I do use some other full fat stuff, just less of it... I use olive oil instead of spray oil *have you seen how that welds to your bakeware *

Well Im super happy as I had 5 SW cookbooks arrive yesterday (and 1 still to come) ...there are some cracking recipes in ... Stiffado for a start mmmmmm -Im planning for next weeks meals (but Im spoilt for choice) this weeks meal plan is sorted :A:rotfl:
Right..better get off -have a great day everyone :D
