    Yesterday's food.

    Green day.

B - Cranberry HiFi Bar (heb1) with cup of tea (milk from hea) followed by banana, plum, nectarine and grapes

    L - 2 ryvita sesame (heb2) with low low cheese (hea2) with 2 tsp of pickle (2)

D - Spaghetti and quorn meatballs, with a passata, onion and garlic sauce.

S - Slice of my dad's birthday cake (11), Slice of All bran cake (3.5) and packet of Asda shells (4.5)

Syns = 21 (went over but only had 4.5 syns on friday :))

Today for lunch i am having a curry feast!!!

Am making Chicken Vindaloo (ive toned down the heat a bit by using milder chillies!!) and i'm serving it with Pilau rice (my own :)) poppadoms (2 syns each) Onion and cucumber salad, cucumber raita and onion bhajis (my own) :)

The curry is 0.5 syns per serving, the rice is free, as is the raita and salad. Need to hunt down the recipe for the bhaji's but they are SW friendly so the syns wont be too high!! :D
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

Daisy, I guess it would, but as has been proven before, I'm no expert.

Now this may be cheating, but instead of dry toast why not spray each side of the slice with frylight and stick it into the toaster, you get a form of fried bread and it's quite nice with a cooked breakfast :D

All this talk of getting EE right has made me realise I've been making a mistake!! I generally have a bowl of mushy peas as late (2nd!!) lunch each day (first lunch is usually ryvita and banana - not completely satisfying!) Now I realise I shouldn't be eating it alone on EE days so will have to have a couple pieces of fruit after in future :o Silly me!! To be honest in my blondness I hadn't even considered that the 1/3 rule should apply to all meals and not just my main meal :p I assume my daily brekkie of oatso simple with banana is ok.

Even if we were all experts I'm sure we'd still get it wrong occasionally :rotfl: Hope you're having a happy Sunday x

yes thanks Karen! just making the SW spinach & potato curry to have with some trout fillets I got "lastminuteprice" from sainos. There'll be enough for two more meals too (and have included mushrooms to get more superfree :A ) then it's off to the pub

    ok another EE question
say you make a shepherds pie or a chilli - and stuff it full of veg to bulk it out
do you still have to have a 1/3rd of a plate of recognisable veg when you have a ton of hidden ??

Yes that would be fine to have it hidden, its amazing how much veg you can pack in a dish like this. No need to worry about leaving a 1/3 of the plate free as long as veg is incorporated in this way. For example here's an EE spag bol recip from the SW site itself:

    Spaghetti Bolognese:
Top a mound of cooked spaghetti with lashings of rich Bolognese, made by frying an onion in Fry Light, adding extra lean mince, chopped tomatoes, chopped or grated carrot, celery, crushed garlic and dried oregano, seasoning with salt and black pepper and simmering for 10-15 minutes.

Oh and here's the link to the 7 day EE meal plan on the SW site to give you some ideas. There is also one for green and red days if you are interested in doing them as well.
