    Afternoon everyone

Well done on the losses and to those staying in control when temptation comes a knocking :T

We nipped out earlier and the naafi had fresh parsnips whoopsed to 50c a bag :jso I grabbed 3 of those and will peel n freeze them later -I love them roast with carrots and onions for lunch (hubby hates roast veg -so I get them all to myself) :rotfl:

Our EE meals are looking like this for today:-
    • 250ml semi skimmed(A)
    • 2 weetabix(B)
    • 1 apple
    • omelette made from:-
    • 1/2 tsp oil (1syn)
    • spring onions
    • red peppers
    • ham
    • sweetcorn
    • peas
    • 2 eggs
    • 20g low fat cheddar (2 syns)
    • 1 apple
    • 2 oranges
    • Tea is chilli made from :-
    • lean minced steak
    • onions
    • carrots
    • peppers
    • fresh chillies
    • chopped tomatoes
    • passatta
    • stock cubes
    • red kidney bean -and will be served on:-
    • rice
    • peas
    • corn
If I need anything after that little lot I might use 8 syns on a yogurt -Im well under on my weekly allowance after all :A:rotfl:
The omelette was gorgeous -full of flavour but nice n light :TI think it might become a regular Saturday Lunch ;)
I have made a huge vat of chillie -hubby loves chillie so I will freeze portions later. I don't usually like chillies -but I have noticed that since I started SW I am developing quite a thing for them

Its weigh day for us tomorrow -so keep your pinkies crossed folks :p
Hope everyone is having a good weekend

Nearly forgot -I have just looked up MINTED LAMB CHOPS and even though Farm foods aren't listed these are:-
Asda Minted Lamb Chops, 400g pack, chilled, 100g 6
    Co-op Minted Lamb Chops, 400g pack, frozen, 100g 4
So I guess you would have to "guesstimate" them as 4-6 per 100g -HTH

Well I am doing okay so far today but I am making a friend a cake for his birthday from this book so it's not going to end well is it? I think the key is to not be the boring person that never has fun and has celery whilst other people eat cake. So, tonight I shall be having some cake with everyone else!

I have discovered that omlettes are my friends, 3 eggs, sliced broccoli, wafer thin ham and quark. Delish :)

just want to get started now but it still seems like a lot of food - maybe im just used to being full from the high fat content of how i currently eat ?

am very scared it wont work for me and ill gain .....

Hi Claire, I know they are, but it's not CONVENIENT is it? Either they should be on every page or (and I am going to do this) stuck on the front of the book. You can't be forever flipping back to find page 7 or at least I can't :D . Actually, the other day I wrote out a list of all the superspeed foods that I like, then I left it on the windowsill and when I came home obviously the cat disagreed with my choices cos she'd been sick on the list . I do keep trying to make my life easier because, as you say, the whole book is very confusing. Actually, I suppose if I used the book more I would get used to the symbols, I tend to do it all online.

Lol, I agree, you would! You'd have hated the old book - this one has all the superfree foods together, whereas with the old one they were scattered throughout the fruit andveg lists.

I think one of the best ways is to go through the book with a highlighter pen and mark up everything you particularly like - it makes it easier to spot.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

You can have 4 as a HEB but you can have 2 as a HEB as a speed food :)

If you look through the book you will find more than one instance where this rule applies.

HEBs are there to give you your recommended amount of fibre - which is also why you may see your breakfast cereal listed with a Ryvita added....it's because the cereal on it's own doesn't have enough fibre to count as a HEB.

In the case of the dark rye/original/sesame Ryvitas you can have 4 as a HEB but if you want to speed up your weight loss, you can make do with 2 as they contain the requisite amount of fibre and, obviously you would be having less calories with 2 than with 4.

Hope that sorts the confusion :)

    Evening everyone

Hope you are all having a good weekend :T

We have just had our chilli n rice and heck was it nice -and Im not usually much fussed with it..Im not sure what is happening to my taste buds -but I guess variety is a good thing ;). There is plenty more left so Im going to freeze half and leave the other half in the fridge for later in the week:D

Its weigh in tomorrow so pinkies crossed for a decent result.
Right Im off to draw up my meal plan for this week :A:rotfl: and If I need anything later I might have a cereal bar -or more than likely an 8 syn Yogurt :p
Hope everyone is doing well and keeping strong
