Takeiteazy, I do believe I saw online that one Tesco wholemeal pitta is now a HEB! That really really really was the best thing ever for me, as I love just a load of "mediterranean" vegetables stuffed into a pitta. I am going to check before I post this though .... wait there ......
good job I checked - it's ASDA wholemeal pitta! See under "new healthy extras", it's definitely there!

Hi Claire, I know they are, but it's not CONVENIENT is it? Either they should be on every page or (and I am going to do this) stuck on the front of the book. You can't be forever flipping back to find page 7 or at least I can't :D . Actually, the other day I wrote out a list of all the superspeed foods that I like, then I left it on the windowsill and when I came home obviously the cat disagreed with my choices cos she'd been sick on the list . I do keep trying to make my life easier because, as you say, the whole book is very confusing. Actually, I suppose if I used the book more I would get used to the symbols, I tend to do it all online.

I completely agree, i find the book very hard to use and I have made the effort to read through it a good few times. Its one of those books I want to take apart and reorganise as it could be so much better than it is. God help anyone doing SW alone with just that for guidance. I think I eat a good selection of fruit and veg so i'm not going to stress over what category it falls into too much. I like your list idea, think i'll write out the superfree and superspeed ones I like and stick it to the front of the book as well.

Takeiteazy: I always freeze pitta bread and take out one as I need it; about half a min in the microwave and it's puffed out ready to slit and fill. You could get someone to get you a couple of Asda packs, perhaps, and freeze 'em.

    Evening everyone

We had another hit with hubby for dinner :T

I just did the skinless chicken breast wrapped in foil and shoved in the remoska, served with steamed potatoes in their skins, carrot, mange tout and sweetcorn and then instead of the creamy carbonara sauce I made some adjustments :p

    So it was :-
    • 2 spring onions chopped and zapped in the micro to soften,
    • then you mix together:-
    • 2tbs parmesan
    • 4tbs quark -I have one with herbs in
    • 7tbs milk
    • 1egg
    • seasoning
    • I then dropped everything in a small pan and heated over a gentle heat -stirring until thickened mmmmmmm
I got a bit carried away with the heating up so it seemed to split a little -but if you know what cheshire and the like are like when you try and melt them you get the idea :p
I put that on top of the chicken -it was gorgeous and just 2syns each :T

We are off for a walk again tomorrow -so that will be 3 sessions this week :A:rotfl:... it had better make a difference when I get on the scales on Sunday .....

    Hope everyone is well

    ALPEN LIGHT £1!

Alpen Light are on offer for £1 in Tesco at the moment - bought TEN boxes today! (Two for me as a HEB and one each for three kids takes a whole box obviously so not THAT excessive!)
Sorry if this is wrong place, will post in shopping too I think.
  • Does anyone know how to syn chinese cooking wine or it could be called chinese rice wine?

Takeiteasy & Lynne - I so agree with you.:) I always write down what I eat in a food diary. Helps me think about what I'm eating - is so easy to forget you eat this or that. I think if it helps you stay on the Plan; it can only be a good thing!:D

    Hiya,

My menu from today, I'm not sure what type of day I ended up having, just down to circumstances, but tried hard to follow the plan.;)

B: omelette made with cottage cheese and chives, bacon, mushrooms, beans.
L: 2 wholemeal bread (HEB), with cheese 28g (HEA) tomatoes. 1 pear.
D:plain fish fillet with veg (very small)
Supper: 2 slices wholemeal toast, laughing cow triangles (2)
Snacks: 1 sponge finger, 1 syn, 2 alpen bars 6 syns. Total 7 syns.

I am hoping that this can count as a red day.

I got some alpen bars from T's last night. Might get some more, but I think that you can get these for £1 in p0undland all the time - but don't quote me on that, my pal told me and I've still to check it out.

    Speak tomorrow. xx
