If you look through the book you will find more than one instance where this rule applies.

HEBs are there to give you your recommended amount of fibre - which is also why you may see your breakfast cereal listed with a Ryvita added....it's because the cereal on it's own doesn't have enough fibre to count as a HEB.

In the case of the dark rye/original/sesame Ryvitas you can have 4 as a HEB but if you want to speed up your weight loss, you can make do with 2 as they contain the requisite amount of fibre and, obviously you would be having less calories with 2 than with 4.

Hope that sorts the confusion :)
Sp porobably if I've been just having 2 it's better to just stick with 2 eh? ;) Thanks for that consultant31 :D

I have discovered that omlettes are my friends, 3 eggs, sliced broccoli, wafer thin ham and quark. Delish :)
My OH takes the mickey out of me for all the variations of omelette I have for my lunch every day now. Yummy. I use 2 eggs but I add 14g of cheese as well comes out soooooooooo cheesy and gorgeous. Tastes so naughty. I have it on top of fresh spinach with a salad. Yummy.

    ok another EE question
say you make a shepherds pie or a chilli - and stuff it full of veg to bulk it out
do you still have to have a 1/3rd of a plate of recognisable veg when you have a ton of hidden ??

Im not 100% on this but the way I read EE is that the point of having 1/3rd of a plate superfree is so you are still eating loads but less of the carb/protein main meal. Even if it is stuffed with veg you would still eat a full plate of shephards pie, so even with the veg in it you should leave 1/3rd of the plate empty. Or fill it with more veg or salad.

Im not sure if that makes any sense but thats the way I follow EE. It helps you to eat a more balanced plate full with veg/salad on the plate taking up space and filling you up rather than a mountain of shephards pie/veg chilli etc.

Red/green is different as your not combining the carbs/protein so you can get away with eating more, but I still try and leave 1/3rd suprerfree so im eating less of the pasta and getting into the habit of having a balanced plate.

Well done Mrs Macawber :j:j:T:T great loss.

Ive had an up and down week. Ive had a few naughty nights where I just couldnt be bothered, but my OH cooked last night and Friday so they were both SW friendly and tasty.

We are planning a roast chicken dinner tonight, im going to attempt SW roast tatties, they just wont be the same as ones dripping in fat but I need to get this weight shifted, its really getting me down.

B - scrambled egg on toast
L - baked potato, ham, salad, home made coleslaw using FF and a little light mayo
D - roast chicken (no skin) SW roast tatties, broccoli and carrots.
snacks and syns - muller light, fruit, mayo and a choccy biccy.

    Hi Everyone!

    Happy Sunday :D

I've had an up and down week this week. Think I've only stuck to the plan 100% on 2 days but at least the rest I've kept counting my syns and writing everything down so I can't fool myself. I know that isn't really the point and that sticking to the plan is what gets results but I feel it's a really big step for me and so I've given myself a pat on the back :)

I weigh in tomorrow morning and I'm a bit worried about today. I'm going out to lunch with friends and usually I wouldn't be too worried about it but my ex is coming to see me this morning. We broke up nearly a year ago and I have a lovely new boyfriend now. I am moving and because I am going to be house-sharing I have to get rid of a lot of my stuff and because a lot of it was bought with the ex in the first place I thought I should see if he wanted any of it. Unfortunately for the 5 years I was with him I had no confidence and felt really down about myself. Although I am much better now, whenever I see him I feel myself slipping back to the unhappy person I was and I'm scared I'm going to comfort eat which is what I always did.

Sorry about the long post! I thought that if I wrote how I was feeling on here it might help me stay in control. Not sure how but it seemed logical in my head :p

Hope you all have a good day x

    RainbowFizz....

try and think of giving some of the furniture back to your Ex as giving away all those old feelings too......just keep reminding yourself that a whole year has passed and you have moved on to better times... you are happy with your new fella and you are taking care of your body by choosing to eat well -You will be fine ;)
Hope you enjoy your time with your friends....:D

Oh, go on!! We could all share our secret weapons. I find sugar free polos are hideous and keep me on the loo for hours - doesn't help my weight tho', sadly so don't try this at home.

I find that if i have 2 sunnybisk as my 1st heb and then have 6 wholegrain crackerbread as my 2nd heb I have to run to the nearest loo within half hour of eating the crackerbread!!!

It doesn't happen when i dont have them in the same day tho!!!

Before i started SW i used to have black coffee and a square of 80% cocoa chocolate  That was just as effective!
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..
