Hi all
It's a lovely sunny Monday morning and I'm ready to return to the Slimming World fold to try and lose a few pounds (well 3.5 stone eventually) for Summer. I'm going to go EE with the odd green day when it works out better.
Today will be:
B: Baked beans on toast. (Heb and 2 syns for marg).
L: Last nights stew (2 syns) with cous cous.
T: Kedgeree.
Snacks : fruit and yogurt. Skimmed milk (hea).
Have a good day everybody.August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
Well, I only managed a half pound loss this week. I know it is better than nothing but I am still a bit disappointed.
Will just have to do better next week.0 -
Morning everyone
Have felt very sorry for myself this week as put on 1.5lb - not expected but then had a 2.5lb loss the previous week and it was * week. Is there a proper term for when your weight loss/gain doesn't show until the following week ? As a result of my gain, I left SW meeting early and went to the chippy ! Had a small chips and then ate quite a few AfterEight mints and felt sick. More frustrating was the fact that I didn't really enjoy any of it and just felt pitiful.
Am trying to put it behind me and get over myself but sometimes... just so ...grrrr.
Well done to all the losers and big hugs to those who need them (like me).
Onwards and hopefully downwards.
MxI was going to take over the world but got distracted by something sparkly.......0 -
im a bit upset this morning
i hate the light nights as i get peckish so ended up having a little bit of chicken left over from chicken soup i made for lunch and a seafood salad from morrisons. had prawns, muscles, crab meat and seafood sticks
breaky was toast , yoghurt and banana HEA and HEB
lunch was the chicken soup with loads of veg FREE
dinner was left over shepherds pie and half a plate of veg 3 syns for gravy
snack was banana and 2 yoghurts
then what i had on night with chicken and seafood, salad cream 3 syns
got up this morning and ive put on 3llb
ive stuck to plan all week and done half hour a day on twist stepper and 2 days before WI i put on 3llb over night
if a lb of fat equals 3500 cals how on earth can you put on so much in one night, and when people say its water how come it doesnt go away again but stays there, every time my weigth jumps up a few pound it takes me ages to get it back off again despiet sticking to plan
i dont have star weeks at all so dont get water retention
as u can imagine im quite upset and need hugs0 -

I'm sorry you are feeling low. Sending you hugs x
I'm afraid I'm not very good at explaining these things as I don't really understand them but I'm sure if you have been good then you will have lost it again at next weigh in.
Hope you have a good day xStart weight - 13st 6lbs
First goal weight - 11st 13lbs
Current weight - 12st 6lbs0 -
Just had Weigh In and lost 1/2lb which I am pleased with. At the moment as long as thenumbers go down I don't mind by how much or little. Going for 4 100% days in a row this week - I'm away from Friday lunchtime and not sure how much I can control otherwise I would have tried for all week.
Day 1 looks like this:
Breakfast: Mullerlight, grapes, fibre plus bar(HEB)
Lunch: Tuna pasta and salad with light salad cream (3 syns)
Dinner: Asparagus, egg, syn-free burger (from joe's) and sweet potato wedges
HEA will be 250ml ss milk for my tea
Syns: Tropicana orange juice (5 syns), Salad cream (3 syns)Start weight - 13st 6lbs
First goal weight - 11st 13lbs
Current weight - 12st 6lbs0 -
eek can you believe that ! i am defo not buying that again !
Wendyphant - well done, brilliant feeling; it will really keep you on track.
KathF - Please don't let this get to you, your common sense is already telling you something isn't right. Just stick to eating well and try not to weigh yourself for a bit. It'll rectify itself. Even the best scientific research throws some anomalies sometimes! Most importantly, don't let it put you off your stride. I bet when you post next week, you'll have a loss. BIG hugs to you.

Obviously you can't have put on 3lbs of fat - it will be water and the weight of the actual food since it won't have had time to be fully digested.
Don't panic your menu for the day looks very good except that you don't seem to have any syns (except for the salad cream). Also I can't see your HEA though you put it down for breakfast. HEAs are only milk and cheese.
That 3lbs will disappear as fast as it came I promiseI let my mind wander and it never came back!0
