Am gutted guys. Bar the night out for my anniversary I have stuck to this and gained 2lb this week !!! I have my birthday night out on friday which i'll just call free and forget it. I am not at class on wed because of work so have 12 days to lose weight before my next WI If I don't lose then I will call it quits for a while. I am going to have mainly red days to see if it is the carbs that are causing this. I know it works I have previously lost 5 stone and am trying to lose the 1stone 4 I have put on in the past 18 months.

How many syns are you having.

my sister says if you dont have much left to shift, then reducing the no of syns ( no less than 5 obvioulsy) .

I have about half a stone to lose ( if you count the 3lbs I lost last week) and really shouldnt be having more than 5 syn a day ( so she reckons)

I am not convinced though and Im too new to it for that, Im pushing 15 most days to be honest I think that is the depo talking though as I simply am ravenous all the time :rotfl::rotfl:

    the tartare sauce is :-
    serves 4

    free
    • 198g/7oz very low fat fromage frais
    • 6 gherkins -finely chopped
    • 2tbs capers -finely chopped
    • fresh dill and parsley -chopped (I missed this out as I didn't have any in )
    • fresh lemon juice to taste ( I added zest)
    • seasoning
    1. Just mix and chill until required :rotfl:
I have just tried mine and it tastes much better for standing over night. Its not as creamy as the full fat stuff obviously -but I guess you could add a little really low fat mayo if you have syns spare.(Im to tight fisted:p)I like it as it is as its quite tart and I love vinegar/citrus stuff -Im having some with my beef salad as I think cold beef and gherkins are a yummy combo :p. I reckon Im going to try using this sauce to make potato salad next time too mmmmmmmm

Mmmmm, sounds gorgeous, can't wait to try :T. There are so many cracking recipes in the books, mag & on here I've rediscovered a love of cooking :)

OK, 1st time I've posted on here:

B: 1oz cereal (HE), Fat free nat yog, rasperries, banana.

Snack: SW Cereal Bar 5.5 sys (I think???)

L: Roasted veg & ordinary salad, cheese (HE), Shape yog (free), another banana.

D: SW Chicken Bhuna (this month's mag, DS cooking it  as I didn't feel good last night).

    Extra syns - semi-skimmed milk 6.5.

Hadn't paid sufficient attention to Superfree Foods etc, so have OD'd on bananas last week or so (maybe why I lost nothing last week) :o. Too tight to throw them out, only 1 left then on to rasps & melon :T

Total weight loss 13lbs in 9 weeks :T
    34lbs to go _pale_.

(((hugs)))) wendyphant, and welcome gallygirl. The SW Hi-Fi bars are either 5.5 or 6 syns I think if not being used as a HEB choice, which one did you have. Green day here today again:

    B:1 x weetabix & 1 ryvita fruit crunch (HEB1), skimmed milk(HEA), blueberries
L: meatfree burger (1 syn), cottage cheese, pineapple
D:Quorn lasagne & baked potato (HEA2 used for mozzarella topping)

Dessert will be a Fibre plus bar (HEB2) and a 45g milka chocolate bar (12 syns). TOTM is well and truly here:(

    Evening everyone :D

Hope anyone having an off day is feeling brighter tomorrow :T

Well hubby got in not long ago and so he warmed up his goulash and apparently thats another that has to go on teh "do again list":rotfl: -eventually I have to try something he doesn't like :p
Hopefully my other SW cookbooks should be here soon then I can really go to town on the meal plans :D

I had a cereal bar earlier -fibre plus, or whatever its called -that new thing with 20% of your fibre in (I have the milk choc ones) and b*gger my old boots if I didn't find it too sweet  -so I don't think that I will be buying them again
Hubby is goling again tomorrow so I had better check the meal plan as I reckon it was going to be ham, mushroom and pea pasta -might swap it for something that doesn't suffer when warmed up ;)

Hope everyone is well...Im off to read on minimims -I joined up earlier

I'm no expert, but as one third of your plate is supposed to be superfree food (that is, fruit and most vegetables, but not parsnip, peas, beans, potatoes) ....

Thought peas, were super free foods judging by the fondness for mushy pea curry on this thread:eek:. Am I right or wrong?

I'm staying out of it, I got it wrong last time!

*whispers* phew, just checked my book and no, peas do not appear on the superfree page - neither mushy ( SS), nor dried (H S F) , nor processed (H S F), nor marrowfat (H S F),nor garden peas (H SS F). They ARE free on EE and on green though. Mangetout ARE superfree.

    H = particularly healthy
    F = high fibre
    S/SS = speed or superspeed

does everyone wish those initials were explained on the outside of the book? :( I do.

The mushy pea curry is just NICE that's all! :p
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
