I am going to give it a go, its worth a try, but keeping the motivation is usually my problem. I'm feeling really rubbish about myself at the minute thoughand would really like to be a few stone lighter, not just for the wedding but for me, it really gets me down. I just hope it will work for me if i stick to it.
I so know where you are coming from. I started at 18.5 stone and it really made me miserable. I'm getting married 8 weeks' today and altho I've still got a way to go to my target; 5 stone 10 pounds lighter has made me feel like a different person! You can do it! The wedding is a good incentive; but you are right in that you have to do it for yourself to make you feel happier.
I think (and someone will correct me if I'm wrong) if you go to a Slimming World class and just join it costs £9.95; so cheaper than e bay?? You will also get the Consultant run over the plan with you and answer any questions you might have.0 -

Thanks aliscrapper, its nice to know i'm not the only one feeling like this. Congrats on your weightloss to, such a great achievement. I weighed myself this evening and am at 14st 5lbs (I am 5'8") didnt make me feel great to be honest but I expected it to be around that. Bit scared to go to a class on my own0 -
Thanks all for the tips; have found a recipe for Syn free lemon meringue 'pie' and am going to try it later.
I think the key might be having something as my healthy b that is sweet, like you guys suggested, rather than a breakfast item, means I have it as a back up snack!
I am making breakfast for some friends tomorrow and am going to do my best to make it SW friendly, that means a bit of planning. I saw something cool before that I going to try, where you spray a muffin tray with frylight and line the holes with a couple of layers of wafer thin ham, then you make a kind of quiche in the holes and bake in the oven. I heard a nice 'breakfast burger' recipe with extra lean mince so am thinking ham, then a thin patty of that topped with an eggy topping. Serve with beans and tomatoes and mushrooms with bread for them, how does that sound?God is good, all the time
Do something that scares you every day

Your very welcome. If you go to the slimming world website and put in your postcode it will come up with classes that are local to you and it usually comes up with the Consultant's name and telephone number. If you phone the Consultant to let her know you are coming; she will put you at ease especially if you tell her you are nervous about coming to class and she will look out for you at class. Will make going to your class a little less stressful.
I know plenty of people manage to do the Plan without class; but I find the support at class invaluable as there are lots of people all in the same boat as you who know exactly how you feel.0 -
