I joined SW Tuesday this week and I'm hungry all the time so what am I doing wrong. This is what I had/are having today
B 1Weetabix with banana (heb) Milk (ha) around 7:00
S Fruit 10:00
L large salad (Lettuce, cucumber, sweetcorn, tomatoes, beetroot, 1 slice of ham cut up, and 14g feta cheese (1.75syn) and 2 eggs at 12:00
S Fruit 2:00
D Salad again (kids are having their dinner and I always sit down to eat something with them around 4:00)
D Jacket potato with beans and 14g feta cheese (1.75syn) (this is dinner with hubby when he comes home around 7:00)
Around snack time I'm always starving, I then eat fruit or nibble on carrots but I don't find it satisfying. I'm not keen on yogurts or any cold food so Muller light is not really for me.0 -

I know it may sound really obvious but if you're hungry eat more. For example at breakfast you can have 2 weetabix as your HEB, so no need to have just one. Top it with some sliced banana or other fruit to make it more filling if you need to. At lunch, you could bulk your salad out with more ham to make it more filling, or add some bread (nimble at 3 syns per slice). And as your daily syns are quite low you could add some more cheese etc depending on what you like. For your dinner either have another jacket potato, or have some lean meat to the side. Also instead of just having salad with the kids if you're hungry, how about some savoury rice or pasta n' sauce (or your own homemade version of these?)
Another thing that springs to mind is as your only meat is the one slice of ham, you could syn it and change from EE to a green day. That would give you an extra HEA and HEB, which would mean you could have your cheese without syning it, and for your 2nd HEB maybe some toast or a cereal bar? Personally I don't find snacking on carrots satisfying either so I'd have an alpen light bar or something between meals to keep me going.:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -

Evening all
Well I have just had dinner -and Im fit to bust :rotfl: although it was chicken stir-fry so loadddddds of veggiesand *drum roll* the chinese 5 spice sauce from the SW book got 2 thumbs up too :j -heck thats all 3 recipes I have tried out so far :T. The sauce wasn't that impressive when first made -but once in the stir fry -nomnomnom ...and it made that much that I have a jar of it in the fridge to use over the next couple of weeks -great for those quick lunch time stir fries just for me ...
I made too much stir fry -so I put out a 3rd plate as hubby declared he would have it for supper warmed up:p
If I need anything later -which I may well once the veggies settle in my stomach -I will be attacking my strawberries mmmmm-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
MRS M,
What is syn free orange cheesecake? It sounds interesting.:rotfl:
This is what I've eaten so far today:
B - Marion's breakfast rice with mandarin yoghurt. It was nice, but will try a different flavour yoghurt next time. I also found that it was far too much for me, this is unusual as I can eat lots.:rotfl:I also found that I had to keep on putting water in it to keep it moving and not sticking to the pan - I've not got a remoska, so wondered if putting it in my slow cooker overnight would work?
L - Roll (HE) with sin free beefburger, cheese (HE) and onion. 2 sponge fingers (2 syns). I find these good and I eat them instead of a biscuit.
D - Pasta with chicken, mushroom, onion, sweetcorn, garlic, quark and salt and pepper. Very nice.
Will have a snack later on, and maybe a G&T since it is Saturday.
Will check back later all. x0 -
Hi all, may I come and join in?
I joined SW a week and a half ago and in my first week lost 1/2 (it was my 'star week' but didn't feel the need to share that with a roomful of strangers. Though I have told all of you!)
I think it is great how much of the stuff I love that I can eat, pasta, mmm!
My only problem is that I have a really sweet tooth and fruit doesn't always cut it. I like the options hot chocolates, particularly the orange ones, and that is only 2 syns but does anyone have any other ideas? I found a recipe for a chickpea cake that sounds worth a try but would like other snack ideas that aren't too high in syns.
Thanks all!God is good, all the time

Hi everyone, I am getting married next year and am thinking of joining slimming world. I dont really have time to go to the meetings and am thinking of just doing it alone with the support of all you lot on here
What would I need to get started? If I get a starter pack will this give me all the info I need on what to do? How do I find out how many syns are in things etc? Sorry about all the questions, a bit clueless!
Thanks! xx0 -

Thanks all!
Hi Sian, I also have a really sweet tooth and my favourite treats so far are:
* Kellogs Fibre Plus Bar - really chocolately and yummy, and better still can be used as a HEB (otherwise 5.5/6 syns). I prefer the dark chocolate one, but the milk chocolate one is nice too.
* Solero exotic ice lolly (5 syns), absolutely yummy ice cream centre and tastes like it should be more syns than it is.
* Coco rocks cereal bar (4 syns), not much to them but really hit the spot when you need a chocolate fix.
* 2 finger kit kat (5.5 syns)
When I want to keep my syns lower I'll have a cadburys highlights hot chocolate (2 syns) as i find them nicer than the options ones. They are also lovely if made with milk from your HEA. This is only my 3rd week so I'm still on the lookout for lower syn treats as well:):starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0
