I was sooooo good last night, 6 hours at a party and I had helped make the food, so I told no one that I had used low fat stuff, and no one noticed, I ate all the stuff in my allowance having eaten only superfree during the day. I also took along my own low alcohol wine, again no one noticed that I was sober and they were not : )
    Feeling pretty good about it.
Hope it all goes as well tonight, sometimes its a pain, not the going out, but the working out how to eat & drink within your limits, but when you do manage it gives you a huge boost.
Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.

Mrs Mac, the Rogan Josh recipe would be really appreciated if you can post it, thanks.

Also just wanted to say welcome Ali, and I think there was someone else new but I can't find them now, looking back, sorry but welcome too.

    Well done Rupe and Hope!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend and that we get a little sunshine - it's ok here atm but I think rain on the way.

    Morning everyone

Well done to those getting through parties/gatherings/bank holidays and coming out the other side still "on the wagon" :T
    Well done takeiteazy :T
Hello to the newbies -I think there are quite a few of us that are fairly new on here too ;)

We are having a nice quiet weekend :j-which also means less temptation ;) ....its my 2nd weigh in tomorrow so pinkies crossed.

    Todays EE meals are:-
    • 250ml semi skimmed (A)
    • apple
    • huge salad
    • jacket potato
    • cottage cheese
    • 1tbs yogurt dressing (0.5syns)
    • SW free orange "cheesecake"
    • chicken stir fry
    • 1/2tsp oil (1)
    • SW chinese 5 spice sauce (1syn)
    • inbetweenies will be fruit and possibly an 8syn yogurt
Inazuma -this is the rogan josh recipe...
    serves 4
    freezer friendly
free on all programmes if using spray oil
*taken from SW 100 saucy secrets*
    • fry light -I paid 1 point and used oil
    • 3 cloves garlic-crushed
    • 1tsp ground coriander
    • 1tsp paprika
    • 1tsp ground ginger
    • 1tsp chilli powder -I used 3 dried chillis crushed
    • 14oz tin chopped tomatoes
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 2" stick of cinnamon
    • 4 green cardamoms -it didn't say to, but I crushed them to release the seeds and threw away the pod
    • 3 cloves -I missed them as I don't like them
    • 7floz stock -chicken from a cube
    • 1dsp sweeetener
    1. heat a frying pan and add -spray oil/oil
    2. add onions and garlic with 3tbs water and cook for 4-5 mins until softened
    3. add the powdered spices and fry for 1 min -add a drop more water if they dry out
    4. stir in all remaining ingredients and cook for 30-35 mins until reduced
    5. remove bay and cinnamon and serve
I did mine in my tagine as I have one that can go on the gas ring -so I added sealed chunks of beef after the sauce had cooked for about 10 mins and left on a low light until the beef was tender. I made it a day early and left to stand in the fridge -it was lovely and it thickened up too...not exactly how much like a full fat rogan josh it is though as I don't usuall eat curry :p

Right I will get off and get some x-stitching done -have a great weekend everyone

Forgot to say -Where are you Recovering spendaholic? -hope all is well and you are just off having a good weekend
    -6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.5

Well done Takeiteazy - that's an amazing weight loss!

Hopepray - well done for being determined to stick to the Plan.

Thank you for welcoming me to the thread.

That Rogan Josh sounds amazing! I've never been keen on the cardomon pods - never occurred to me to break them open and chuck away the pod bit! Thank you!

Hi, I have just come across this thread. I am an old-style SW'er (red and green days), and I just can't get my head around the extra easy plan. I have read the first post, but please could someone explain it to me in 'extra easy' terms :-)

    Many thanks

    Daisy

Daisy EE means you can eat foods that are free on either red or green days, so you can have for example meat and potatoes together, or fish and rice etc. You must however, fill 1/3 of your plate at each meal with superfree food (ie fruit/veg that are free on both the red and green plans). On EE days you can only have 1 HEA and 1 HEB, but the amount of syns you can have remains the same as red/green days (5-15). If the syn value for something differs between red and green days, then on an EE day you count the lower syn value only. Hope that makes sense, I'm still getting my head around EE too:)
