  • hi
I started sw on 11.11.09. ive lost 1 st 9.5lbs. Ive fallen off the wagon a little bit the last few days. im going to get back on track tomorrow:j only 4.5 lbs to go and id have lost 2 stone.
On EE are cracker bread syn full or free? I normally have 2 slices of wholemeal toast for breakfast and have the milk as the other healthy option. (as i dont like hot drinks) the fruit for lunch and veg and meat for my tea.
Although my clothes have become loose i still dont feel any slimmer. Does that make sense? even though people comment that you can really see that ive lost weight. Diets are hard when you are a fussy eater like me. this is the most ive lost in a long time.
Mind you ive lost a out 14 inches all over (waist, hips, bum, bust, thigh, calf and ankle):T i would like to get another 2 stone off.
Things will get better day by day.

wooohooo!! WI tonight and I've lost 2.5lbs :-) oh how happy I am lol!!! Before joining SW I did calorie counting diets for several years. I did Rosemary Conley and lost nearly 2 stone and managed to keep it off quite well until I met OH in Sept. By the end of Dec I'd put on a stone so I joined an internet diet site which was also basically calorie counting. In 4 months I really struggled, was always hungry and forever falling off the wagon and only managed to lose 6lbs. With SW I've lost 5lbs in 3 weeks!!! And I've never been hungry, infact I've been positively terrified by the amount I've been eating as I was convinced I couldn't possibly eat so much and still lose.

What I have noticed is that I've not eaten (and not missed) any bread or crisps and I've also barely bothered with sweets or chocolate.

Losing weight can be very difficult for me as OH is underweight so I have two very opposite diet requirements to cater for!!!

Today has been a green day and I'll be having a treat later to celebrate my loss then back to it first thing tomorrow as I want to lose a few more pounds before a wedding we're going to on May 22nd.

    My menu for today was:

Breakfast - Marion's breakfast rice with mixed berries and pear
Snack - banana and a plum
Lunch - Ryvita (HEB), 2 laughing cow extra light (half HEA), salad, boiled egg, salad cream (2)
Snack - pear and 2 satsumas
Tea - thai turkey patties, stir fry veg and noodles, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sweet chilli sauce (4)

I'm doing a 20 mile walk on Saturday so I'll probably try to have green days between now and then to allow me to have plenty of carbs to get my energy levels up.

Karen23, if you don't have to visit your dad every day perhaps you could find another group locally this week and pop in for weigh in. I only suggest this as I was told (some yrs ago) that you have to tell them in advance if it's going to be a holiday and now it's all computerised I don't think there's as much leeway as there was. However, SW is not a prison sentence so it's also worth checking with your consultant. How much chemo does he have to have (sessions-wise)?
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Thanks everyone. I popped in and got weighed and then headed up to hospital. 1lb on for me but I think last weeks 2.5 loss was only due to my not having eaten all day because I'd been at the hospital.

blackberry-rum, Dad will have his third session of chemo tomorrow and I believe that should be it for this month. We now know that the cancer is in his spleen and his liver, so praying that this chemo will have some good effect. He's in good spirits and is feeling ok at the moment.

Hello. I used to go to slimming world and gave up a few months ago (not feeling too good and problems at home)
    Am wanting to join again.
    How much is it?
Do I have to join as a new member?
I had a card for weigh ins and wonder if I could still use that and still keep the weight I have already lost and add to it from now on, if you see what I mean
    Thanks for any replies :)

Hi and welcome Jonty, membership is on special offer again at the moment, half price joining fee so only £9.95 to pay on your first session plus £4.95 a week thereafter.

'Fraid I don't know whether you could just carry on where you left off but Consultant 31 or one of the others will be able to help you with the technical stuff

I've lost another 2.5lb this week and, to my astonishment, got Slimmer of the Week. I didn't realise the first week's loss didn't count towards it, so I was assuming the 5lb loser who joined last week would get the contents of the fruit basket. My consultant had to explain in words of one syllable while I sat there with a big grin on my face! :D
