    Hi all

Well I have been along to do the "big shop" with my optimising book in hand.

Bought lots of veggies, pasta, linda sausages, quark, cottage cheese etc, and am starting proper style tomorrow morning. I managed to leave out picking up the big SYN peanut butter!

Does this sound OK for a meal plan, Im not sure this is right, god please dont make me have to buy more food spent a fortune today. Did notice that my eyes were gravitating towards the cheapest/on offer rather than the lowest fat. Old habits willl be dying very hard I fear!

I tried hard today but dont think Ive done very well due to poor planning and being out and about
small bowl of all bran with skimmed milk
    couscous salad with grilled veg
    diet coke
    french fries
then I was totally starving so ate sains own version of snacajacks & 4 jaffa cakes so I think Ive failed today but not a bad start lol!

    Tomorrows plan on EE

start day with a glass of water ( I am meant to do this but always fail!)
Tea with skimmed milk and sweetex ( I cant live without this)
Brek - mushrooms, beans , bacon eggs, maybe linda sausages
Lunch- pasta in sauce ( 1.5) prob with some added veggies in, with fruit & fat free yog
Tea- MUshroom & spinach lasagne made with fromagefrais/ quark or creme fraiche and possibly a HM garlic mini- breadstick If I can work out how to accumulate the syns of it??

Drinks - diet coke and tea and water ( Ill use my milk as my healthy extra)

Any thoughts and pointers greatly appreciated :D
Will get the tightest jeans on tonight and let OH take a snap of the "before" I got these fab pair of culottes off ebay that I really want to squeeze into for glastonbury!

Ps Hope your dad is OK karen x x
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I hope I didn't offend you - there are no stupid questions, every single one is valid. You'll always be wondering if you don't ask :)

Sounds like you've made an excellent start - roll on weigh-in! I bet you met a fella who lives on pizza etc - that's just what happened to my youngest DD but she's managed to lose 5½ stone since he left :D

No offence at all - what happened to me was had second baby lost the weight immediately as she went into special care - back down to 8st in days - got too comfy with status quo and far too busy at work to care about eating more sensibly - and treating food like a reward after a hard days work, well that and alchohol, has got me where I am - 5 ft 1 and needing to lose 2 stone to get back to 8st which is where I need to be to get in my wardrobe full of clothes! Anyway, lets hope this is a good start.

Wendy - so sorry to hear about your friend - I'm sure your consultant won't feel offended.

Karen - hope your Dad is okay today. I think that if you ring and tell them you're not going then you don't have to pay but I might be wrong....

Today was weigh in day for me after my first week. I am pleased to report an 11 lb loss which has astounded me given that I have eaten VERY well and it is also my star week. I have a huge amount to lose but still feel very encouraged! In the past I have always allowed myself a few treats on weigh day but today I decided that there was enough nice free food in for me not to want to! I didn't have breakfast (because of weigh in:o) and for lunch I had stir fry veg with noodles mixed with a bit of soy sauce and tomato ketchup (2 syns) and rice vinegar mixed with a bit of splenda - it gives a sort of sweet and soury flavour IYKWIM. I haven't decided what to have for tea - I have lean mince, chicken thigh fillets and baked beans in and I can't decide which one to have - Imight do the mince with loads of veg and stir the beans through and have it on a jacket potato. Snacks so far have been a mulleright toffee yoghurt.

    Hope everyone is okay!

Well done Jane that ia amazing!!!!!!

i hate having my photo taken... you are not alone!!

I just look back on the photo's and think.. "urgh!!!! look at the state of me!!" And then i put them away not to be seen.....

I do however, have 1 photo i had taken in front of the trevi fountain (which is prob the best photo i have of me) which i have up in my house which i am using as my "before" picture :)
