I was doing really well up until Sunday, when things went a bit awry at the seaside. But then yesterday went a bit wrong too and I realised I am already getting bored of the same old thing and feel like i'm limiting my food too much.
I'm going to try the couscous frittas for lunch today (thanks takeiteazy) and for dinner ideas I have found some SW recipes online, but my main barrier is breakfast.
I never usually have much of a stomach for breakfast, and I can't handle fruit or yoghurt early in the morning as it seems too sickly.
I have tried ryvita and laughing cow which was nice but a bit plain, and cereal which is fine but too dull (and expensive) to have every day.
I would do a cooked breakfast but as I say I rarely have the stomach for much food till a few hours after i'm up.
So basically I am asking if anyone can give me some ideas for breakfast please?? Thanks B.
I confess that until I met SW I always had cereal for breakfast, and there's only three that I like, and I never felt it was dull! However, some suggestions:
Marmite on toast? (even nicer with sliced grilled tomatoes on top)
Just toast?
Leftover vegetables mashed and made into bubble and squeak?
alternatively, I don't think there's any rule as to when you should eat breakfast, why not just skip it if that's what you prefer? As far as I know all SW stipulates is that you should never feel hungry ... so if you aren't hungry at the recognised breakfast time, don't eat.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

Oh that's good to know, was wondering about what cereal bars are ok. Weird that alpen cerel bars are heb but not alpen cereal!! Might have to get some of them as cereal bars are all I can manage first thing usually.
thanks for the suggestionsWill keep an eye out for scan bran next time i'm in town. Will try some new ryvita toppings in the meantime.
oooh this morning (WI day, so I need the extra fibre iyswim) I had two scan bran, smeared thickly with quark, topped with a rasher of bacon and slices of grilled tomato. (all done in the microwave actually, not really grilled- it took 2 minutes to prepare). Off now for my first WI for two weeks, I am a bit apprehensive. Wish me luck!

Hey All!
I'm finding it really difficult to eat stuff atm. I really don't know why!
Red day today
B - 28g Fruit and Fibre (1/2 heb1) with milk (hea1) w/g crackerbread with 1tsp of choc/nut spread (1/2 heb1+1.5syns) Cup of tea.
L - Ham and cheese salad. (ham, cheese (hea2), cucumber + tomato), kelloggs fibre plus bar (heb2), New York Cheesecake ML yog (does anyone know the syns for these yet?)
D - Morrisons BBQ range spicy prawn skewers (1 syn each according to syns calc! - 2syns) and Asda BBQ range spicy chicken breast fillet (these are FREE! and 2 for £3 in Asda atm - you get 4 in a box)
My mum has made fairy cakesand they weigh about 28g. According to syns online the basic fairy cake is about 4.5 syns.
As i have only had 3.5 syns and whatever the new ML yogs are (1.5ish?) so i can treat myself to a cake (or 2! hehe)All hail to the sale!!!!!!

The fast forward plan is based on a certain amount of units which are meals & snacks - also have to drink 1500ml water per day - still can have a fun size choc bar each day for 2 units! It is very restrictive, but i want to try it - it is only for 5 days (need to go shopping) It is not a plan that the consultants like to give out but because i have been trying so hard and it is not shifting much - my consultant said i could have the boost!
Good luck with the fast forward plan. I have seen it (someone else at class got given it many moons ago) and it looked tough, but I guess when you have such a special reason to focus on.. and it is only a short amount of time then it is do-able. let us know how you get on0 -
The recipe you posted for the Spicy buffalo chicken was absolutely lush MRSMCAWBER :T We had it tonight and it is now on the list for "absolutely make it again

I'm back from WI having lost 2 lb in my "holiday" so I am pleased with that, it's kept up my legendary 1 lb loss per week average! I promised Miss I would make Takeiteazy's couscous frittas so I'd better remember that! I may make a few in advance for class and also a bit of buffalo chicken, as a treat for them (I can heat it in the microwave at the class). Specially as I'm a bit guilty about not joining in with their charity walk later in the week. Is anyone else doing one of those walks through the class?:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
