2 alpen light bars can be a Healthy B and they are really tasty!

Oh that's good to know, was wondering about what cereal bars are ok. Weird that alpen cerel bars are heb but not alpen cereal!! Might have to get some of them as cereal bars are all I can manage first thing usually.

thanks for the suggestions :) Will keep an eye out for scan bran next time i'm in town. Will try some new ryvita toppings in the meantime.

BettyB -make sure you get the Alpen LIGHT bars and not the normal Alpen bars ;)

Sian -thanks for the lovely comment :p-Hubby is an absolute diamond and I know how lucky I was to find him and I know he thinks the same about me :T.

Well folks I got through last night with 9.5syns still in tact  ... hubby phoned at 9:30 -he knows my "danger time" :j ... but strangely enough I was ok. I appretiate the fact that in his line of work he could easily get sent away for 6 months at a time -so 5 days is a doddle and luckily I lived on my own for years before we got together -so I like my own company *just not the company of the "munchy monster" who sometimes visits when Im alone* :rotfl:

oohh I had the bowl of bolognaise for dinner last night with salad and I turned my potatoes into wedges -sprinkled with 1/2tsp paprika -Oh Lordy -they were gorgeous ...must have them again

So then -my Original meal plan for today is:-
    • melon
    • pineapple
    • banana
    • 2 egg omelette with -
    • onions
    • mushrooms
    • peppers
    • 1 laughing cow light (1.5)
    • big salad
    • peach
    • strawberries
    • melon
    • pineapple
    • thai salmon (1)
    • egg fried rice -
    • 28g rice (5)
    • 1/4tsp oil (0.5)
    • 1 egg
    • 28g sweetcorn (1.5)
    • 71g peas (B)
    • carrot
    • peppers
    • mushrooms
    • broccoli
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1tsp camp coffee (0.5)
    • 2 ryvita (B)
    • 42g low fat cheddar(A)
    • peach
    • melon
    • pineapple
So that vast list will use my A+Bs and use 10 syns -leaving me 5 "just in case" tongue.gif
I swear it seems like I never stop eating since I joined SW eatdrink051.gif....I will cope though wink.gif.

Right I had better get some time in on the wii :A:rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good day -and pinkies crossed for anyone weighing in today ;)

Be careful with the Alpen bars- it is only the LIGHT ones which are HEB. I like the summerfruit ones best.

    My breakfast:
    • yoghurt (usually Activia fat free as doctor told be to have these due to IBS)
    • yoghurt and fruit
    • Yoghurt and couscous (sound weird, quite tasty and keeps me full until lunch)
    • 42g All-Bran HEB
    • 1x alpen light bar (1/2 HEB or use 3 syns) , followed by yoghurt a bit later
    • cooked breakfast (bacon, fried egg, tomatoes, mushrooms)
    • Breakfast Tray bake (recipe was in magazine once) potatoes, onions or spring onions, mushrooms, bacon, coddled eggs.
    • bacon sandwich (using HEB)
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Day to day it's mostly yoghurt + fruit/couscous/cereal bar and just do the cooked stuff on the weekends.

How nice do those couscous frittas look? Might make some of them for lunch tomorrow..

    • 150g couscous
    • 200ml hot vegetable stock
    • 2 eggs, beaten
    • 1 bunch spring onions
    • 100g Cheddar cheese
    • 4 tbsp sunflower oil (I'm going to try using a spray oil)
    1. Place the couscous in a bowl and pour over the hot stock. Cover with cling film and leave to stand for 15 minutes.
    2. Meanwhile, finely shred the spring onions and grate the cheese.
    3. Fluff up the grains of the couscous with a fork. Mix in the onions and cheese, together with the eggs. Shape into 8 cakes.
    4. Heat 2 tbsp of the sunflower oil (or your spray oil) in a non-stick frying pan and cook 4 cakes for 2-3 minutes per side. Place on kitchen paper, then heat the rest of the oil and cook the second batch.
I reckon, over 4 people that makes 25g of cheese so you could have these as a HExA option. They are so yummy and don't have the texture of couscous at all once made up :)

Thanks for the recipe they look really tasty! I might play with the recipe and only put in 84g reduced fat cheese so for 4 cakes can count it as 1 HEA. :)

For breakfast, I don't like to eat first thing but find fruit or cereal in a mullerlight good sometimes. There are lots of cooked breakfast options which might work for you a little later on. If you are working from home could you have a break after a couple of hours for bacon and eggs and mushrooms? When I work from home I find about an hour after I start work I am ready for some cereal, yet I can't face it first thing.

Awww, it's nice when you find a consultant you click with.

The first consultant I ever lost weight with the best but unfortunately I moved away so couldn't keep going to her class. I tried 2 other classes since then with limited success (just didn't like the consultants much so lost enthusiasm) the class I am at now is ok... it doesn't have a permanent consultant though just temporary consultants. It's really the group of people that I've clicked with, we have a bit of a laugh. That and I have to loose weight to look good in wedding dress! :p :rotfl:

Hi all, hope your doing well. Can I come back and join you please? Had a couple of months off but weighed myself this morning and I'm 12st 8lb, heaviest ever :( Will still be doing it from home as can't yet afford classes, as soon as I can though I will definately be going!!

L- Ainsley Harriot Cous cous (2?) salad

D- Rice, Asda hot & spicy chicken, salad

S- Mugshot, tea with milk (A) x2 Alpen light (B)

Off to catch up on thread now :)
