Could you post a link to the couscous frittata as I'd love to try it but can't see the recipe on here. Thanks!

Good luck berniesmaster. This thread is fab! I've got a seven month old (who was four months when I started) and one of the things I like about the diet is that you don't have to weigh and measure free foods so it is really easy to whip up a quick tea like jacket potato with cottage cheese and salad, pasta and sauce etc.

Found out they are only half a syn each stick, so not too bad for a chocolate fix. Erm think I had a boxful over the last 2 days:o. Will have to find out how many are in the box :o:D
Got another unopened box. Bit scared to open it in case I scoff the lot again :rotfl:

Any ideas for this one -- I want to make the couscous frittas myself this week but need some ideas on what to add to spice them up. I've had chilli but not a 'hot' person, hubby added fresh herbs last time and that was all I could taste. I was thinking something like sweet and sour but hubby said it would be too wet, had thought I'd give it a curry flavour but would be interested in your ideas too.

    Thx in advance :T

would you mind posting your couscous frittata recipe plz? they sound fab! I like couscous but it gets a bit dull just dolloped on a plate with salad.

I was so bad last night :( I drank a full bottle of wine to myself. Ate 5 garlic dough balls and then pigged out on chocolate. Synned it all today and it came to.... 69 syns :eek:
I had a full weeks worth of syns in one evening

Going to count it as a 'flexible' day and be extra good the rest of the week and do some exercise... try to compensate for the evilness:p

Still.. got my punishment today. I feel pretty bleurgh :o :rotfl:

Haha laura we've all had evenings like that! never mind.

My weekend was pretty atrocious. Luckily my meals were SW-friendly (salad, bbq meat, pasta, etc) but my snacks were not - ice cream, buscuits and choc!!!

I have written off the weekend as a flexi-syn weekend since i was eating out all weekend it was impossible to keep track of the syns precisely.

Well done everone who has seen a loss already this week. my WI is wed. hoping to keep syss to less than 10 per day to make up for the weekend and I will go to the gym a lot this week.

    today's plan is:
Brek: 3 x Ryvita with 3 x light laughing cow (Heb and part of Hea)
Cup of tea with splash of milk (from Hea)
    Pineapple
lunch: 2 egg omelette with salad
(trip to the shop to buy fruit)
    Fruit for snack
dinner: lean lamb kebabs with veg and halloumi (3.5) with potato and salad
    Mullerlight

On the topic of mullerlight - please can I just check if this is right?
    Mullerlight fruit/toffee = free
vanilla with choc and orange w/ choc =free
    stawberry/new yok cheesecake = 1.5
dark cherry and choc = 2.0

Bought loads in tesco as they are all on offer!

    thanks! B.

Hi all, Ive had a fairly synful weekend at our agricultural show but not as bad as it could have been! I managed to steer clear of the hotdogs, burgers and sweeties but I did have a small ice cream both days. Lunch was really good though as it was salads, cold meats and new potatoes. On the first day there was fruit salad for pud so I had that but on the second day there was only gateux so I went without. Also on Friday night we went out for a meal, I had steak, salad and a jacket potato and didn't have any pudding (even though everyone else did!!), I polished my halo all the way home lol!

For the rest of the week I'm trying not to have any syns (or as few as possible) to make up for the naughty bits I had at the show. here's my food for today. I think I'll make it a red day:

Brekkie - 2 weetabix (HEA&B) (was going to have a banana too but they were a bit ripe!)
Lunch - chicken, salad, fat free dressing.
Tea - chicken stuffed with salsa and feta (HEA), salad, jacket pot (HEB).

    Snacks - nectarine.

I'm hoping OH will go for a walk with me later too.

    Afternoon everyone.

    EE for me today..

    B - 2 little toast, beans and mushrooms (B+F)
L - Pasta, carbonara sauce and cajun chicken (F)
    D - SF roasties, Beef chilli & Salad (F)

Snx -? Depends what I fancy.

Just out of interest how many syns do you allow yourself each day?

I have 105 a week which is 15 a day. Do you think it would make a big difference to my weightloss if I lowered it to 10 a day? I try to only use my syns for snacks and treats and keep my meals all free & healthy extras.

I tried the buttery fry light on corn on the cob and wasn't impressed. It didn't taste awful, I just couldn't really see any benefit at all from the couple of squirts. On the other hand, I remembered just how delicious corn on the cob is, even without butter and seems like a treat rather than eating an extra portion of veggies.

I will try using it to fry/ roast with and let you know what I think of that. I have to admit the white chemical look didn't fill me with enthusiasm.
