Wow Mrs M you are doing fabulously!!! :D Well done! :)

I've not been on for a couple of days. Last night had the most amazing Indian Takeaway from our local restaurant. They do a dish which is their chef's secret recipe, and OMG it was by far the best thing i think i have ever tasted! It was stunning! Naturally i went over my syns quite considerably but it was worth it!!

Today i'm back on the wagon!

    EE

B - 28g Fruit and fibre (1/2 heb) with milk (hea) cup of tea (milk from hea) w/g crackerbread (1/2 heb) with choc nut spread (1.5) and chopped banana - YUM!

L/D - Roasted garlic and herb chicken (2 grated garlic cloves, 2 tsp of dried herbs, 2tbsp fat free natural yog and 1/2 tsp of stock granules all mixed together and spread over the chicken :)) will prob have with potatoes and vegetables

We have sugar free jelly (0.5) setting in the fridge so will have that with some vanilla onken yog (free!) with a nice wedge of melon and freshly picked (if they ripen!) strawberries :)

If i get the munchies at around 7.30 this evening i'm gonna have a ham and mushroom omelette with a splodge of boursin light in the middle (2.5) Yummy!!!!

    Total (planned) syns = 4.5

EDIT - I had a bag of fridge raiders as a snack earlier (1.5) which takes my syns up to 6 :)
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

I was so bad last night :( I drank a full bottle of wine to myself. Ate 5 garlic dough balls and then pigged out on chocolate. Synned it all today and it came to.... 69 syns :eek:
I had a full weeks worth of syns in one evening

Going to count it as a 'flexible' day and be extra good the rest of the week and do some exercise... try to compensate for the evilness:p

Still.. got my punishment today. I feel pretty bleurgh :o :rotfl:

This stuff blows your head off! Lol. But it is a thicker tabasco type sauce. I've used this to marinade chicken before and its lovely! :)

EDIT - they sell it down the world foods isles in the supermarkets

Slimming World members are ingenious when it comes to cooking up syn-free foods into some dish which you would never have expected (examples include couscous cake, mock Doritos, etc etc) and it is this that has made the SW nutritionist sit up and take notice.

The whole ethos behind food optimising is to educate people into eating more wholesome foods, cooked from scratch and including lots of fruit and vegetables and to cut out, as far as possible, all the processed foods.

You may find that your Consultant hasn't been for training recently and therefore hasn't heard about the new rules (it is only mandatory to retrain every two years). Ask her to contact head office and find out the latest food news.

I think because it has been allowed for so long, it's not going to harm your weight losses as such, it's just not very healthy to have loads of pasta quiche every day in place of fresher foods, but as I said in my earlier post, if you have it by the slice along with a salad it's fine.

Unfortunately, I have members who's idea of following the plan is to have SW chips, pasta quiche and baked beans 3 times a week and then wonder why their weight loss is slow and they're really not getting that healthy, energetic feeling you get when you use some common sense and keep these things as an occasional treat.

I hope that helps clarify things a little :)

I think there are crossed wires here. I just mentioned that imo savoury rice was still free if for example you ate it alone for lunch, whereas you were saying that wouldn't be free unless it was an accompaniment to a meal iyswim. It doesn't affect me as I rarely have it but I know some members of my class mention they are useful for lunches and my point was that if SW are saying something like that isn't free unless you have it with something else then they should make that more clear. Though if head office are now saying this in the latest food news as you say it should filter through to my class soon anyway.

    Hello everyone.

Made the SW KFC style chicken last night and it was lovely. I can't say it was the same as KFC however it is a VERY good substitute :T. We had it with SF wedges, salad and h/m SF BBQ sauce as a dip. a yummy dinner.

I couldn't get chicken bovril but found in M&S a jar of concentrated chicken stock which has a similar consistency as bovril so I used that to coat the chicken and it worked a treat.

Been for a nice walk in the city and visited the Gestapo Museum which was very interesting...so worked off some calories.

    Today
    B - toast (B) beans & mushrooms
    L - 3 x ryvita (4.5) garlic quark & tomato
D - Might try Buffalo chicken goujons or make a curry.
