Hi

Thanks0 -
Revelation! I like Ryvita!! I have spent years hating it! But this one is yummy! (its multigrain with seeds!)
Is it true you can have 6 as a HeB on EE??
Stuck to the plan today apart from a few choc buttons and brazil nuts which pushed me to 16.5 syns.. not the end of the world though
Tomorrow's plan is to have a few small meals so i can 'graze' and curb my totm appetite!
3 x ryvita (heb) with mashed banana and honey (2.5)
Pineapple
Cups of tea during the day (with half heA skim milk)
3 x ryvita (heb) with 3 x extra light laughing cow triangles (other half heA) and cucumber
Corn on the cob with tsp Flora light (1.0)
Cherries
Spag bol - toms, worcester sauce, lean mince, lots of veg, pasta - all free!
Muller light
Syns = 3.5 (will prob find something else to take my syns over 5)Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Arhhh found them. They are 2 point for 180g pot like muller light ones.
I have just had 2 today!
Oh well they were nice though he he0 -
From what I can see it's 3 multigrain ryvita for an HEB on EE.
Oh and mashed banana has to be synned I'm afraid or is that included in the 2.5?Some people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0 -
Good morning everyone.
Today I have realised why I am soo hungry for naughties.. AF arrived! a week earlier than expected. So I feel much better and aim to sts this week.
A question for those of you more in the know. OH and I decided that in a few months time we will try for a baby (I want to lose some weight first before trying). I know you can still do SW whilst pregnant but what are the differences (if any)?
I've read some posts on other sites so have a bit of info like the MW needs to sign this off each week to ensure both the baby and you are ok. I don't visit a class though and there aren't any here. I am more interested in any changes in the eating plan that may need to be taken.
Thank you in advance xx"People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -

Yup I got that wrong, never mind. thanks karen.
It's 3 ryvita multigrain but 6 Crackerbreads (different thing) never mind I'll still have my HeB allowance of 3 for breakfast.
Why do I need to Syn my banana?? According to my book it's only got syns if it's been pureed or cooked.
It's just a banana that's been cut up. I didn't even mash it properly coz i'm lazy so I cut it into small slices.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

If you mash it, it must be synned, if you slice it, that's okay.
I think the reasoning is that pureed/mashed food slips down much quicker and easier, leaving you wanting something else to eat, whereas by the time you have eaten a while banana (say) your stomach has time to recognise that you've had enough to eat.
If you want to stick to the plan and avoid syns, you could just have sliced banana on ryvita, instead of mashed.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

I think this is an example where you can use common sense! If you were to chew a banana it would become mashed in your mouth. If you were to chop it into dice it would be pretty similar. If you were to get a massive bowl of bananas and puree or mash them up and sit and eat them all I can see why it was a problem but if it is just an easier way to eat the one banana you are having I think don't worry too much! But I am not a consultant and so that is just my opinion
Thanks to the person who recommended the smoked salmon bits (tesco value, 87p for a pack) mixed with quark. With a little black pepper and some lemon juice it was delicious on my scan bran!God is good, all the time

Morning everyone....another scorcher here today...
I decided to cut the lawn at 8:30 this morning before the sun had time to get to full throttle (the lengths a woman will go to, to burn a few extra cals).....
I have begun fettling the spare room -hopefully I will get that finished later,,,
Well my meal plan for today is:-- 250ml semi (A)
- 2 bacon
- 2 eggs -scrambled
- fresh tomatoes
- peach
- melon
- roast chicken
- lettuce
- cucumber
- tomato
- celery
- pepper
- gherkin
- pineapple
- melon
- *same salad as above*
- 227g jacket potato (B)
- cottage cheese
- creamy yogurt (8)
- 2 ryvita (B)
- 42g low fat cheddar (A)
... we are nipping shopping this evening so I will get the salads ready before and then stick the jackets in the remoska on the way out of the door so they should be ready by the time we get back and have put the shopping away
....THEN hopefully once it has cooled down *probably about 9pm at the moment* we will take the dog a walk ....
Right -I will get off... have a great day everyone-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

Thanks for the advice everyone. I synned the honey I had on top but not the banana as it was chunky and there was a lot of chewing - it's not like I had a jar of banana babyfood or was spooning down a bowl of pureed bananas.
I think one of the reasons for the syns with pureed / mashed fruit is that you lose a lot of the fibre. If you eat a whole banana that is in tact you have to break down the fibrous cells, if you puree it into sludge your body does not have to work as hard to break it down and a lot of the fibrous qualities are destroyed by the blitzing process. this is also true of all fruit, eg apples and why they are not as good for you when juiced.
that's why i never understood the 'smoothie' craze. you dont get as much goodness by blending 3 fruits as you would if you just ate the 3 fruits.
