lol well I've read 3 good books this week, the one I just finished was The Rosary Girls by Richard Montanari [about homicide cops Kevin Byrne & Jessica Balzano], was good but not as unputdownable [is that a word lol] as Blindsighted by Karin Slaughter [about paediatrician & medical examiner Sara Linton] really liked this. The 1st book I read was Kathy Reichs Grave Secrets [Temperance Brennan] The TV series Bones is based on her although the books are nothing like the series. Temp is more human in the books and doesn't act like she has aspergers syndrome like Bones .
These books might not be everyones cup of tea but I like them, but then I will read just about anything real bookworm me :D
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

well i've just read Shutter Island by Denis Lehanne,my husband is a psychiatric nurse so i guessed the ending after the first few pages, but still a good read,i try to avoid books written by women purely for the fact that they write about food, and i can't control myself! :D
i'm off to the library today,my daughter does an art class and i need to kill time without spending money ;)

    oh yeah SW :p
i gorged out yesterday on pasta and veg and a whole pineapple, there's quite a lot of stress here at the minute and it makes me want to eat!
today i shall try to be controlled, and if i struggle i shall eat veg and pasta again :D

Ooo another book worm.. ace, I'm always looking for recomendations... I've read Karin Slaughter and I really liked the book, mine was Genesis, so I will be reading her again. Jeaffery Deaver is another favourite of mine for murder mystery. I started the 1st Kathy Reichs book but couldn't get into it for some reason... maybe because Tempy is so different... and I love Bones. I'm in a phase of historical drama at the moment so lots of Philipa Greggory and the English monarchy.. oh and a True Blood book waiting in the wings (but I stupidly bought book 7 instead of 4 so that will have to wait)

I will look out for the Rosary Girls... thanks for the tip.

Oooh takeiteazy you're my kind of gal ... I read at least three books a week plus a talking book for the half hour journey to work in the car! I love Karin Slaughter and all writers of that ilk, especially chaps like Michael Connelly, recently got into Nelson de Mille. Have you ever tried him? There are some brilliantly funny lines in his books as well as lots of scariness going on, much of it US government related. (PS I also love Janet Evanovich, treat myself to a new Stephanie Plum book each Christmas, second hand off ebay). Will now go and read the rest of the posts about money saving and slimming world.

ha, read the posts now and they are mostly book related! Well S-w-ers, I have to have a good clear out and not the kind created by scan bran. I'm having my kitchen refurbed and it is currently full of BOOKS - if anyone lives near Shropshire and wants to meet me and I will hand over piles of Connolly, John Conelly, J. Deaver (I may have given away most of those), Sue Grafton, ... oh just ask and I will go and see if I have it! Be quick to stake a claim though as they will all go to the cat rescue jumble sale a week from today.
