    Hey gang!

I'm feeling very patriotic today! :D

    Today is a green day

    B - 28g Fruit and fibre (1/2 heb1) with milk (hea) 1 w/g crackerbread (1/2 heb1) with lemon curd (1) Cup of tea

L - Cheese & Brocolli pasta n sauce (0.5 + rest of hea1) with a bag of ryvita minis (heb2) shape 0% yog, banana and plum

D - 2 x quorn lamb grills, 2 tbsp hellmans ex light mayo (1) and 200g of McCain's rustic chips. I also had 28g of cheddar on my chips (hea2)

Now, i weighed my chips cooked rather than frozen. I know that 200g of frozen weight is 2 syns - how would this convert once cooked?? I am well within my syns today so i have plenty of room for error!

Syns 2.5 and whatever the chips work out to be!

EDIT - with my evening cuppa had a 30g piece of M&S carrot cake which i calculate to be about 5 syns (60g came out 10 on the syns calculator)

Total syns 7.5 + chip syns
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..

Pleased to report a 2lb loss at WI last night:j and I got SOTW but only because hardly anyone stayed to class. Feeling a bit more motivated again, off to make turkey saag from the curry feast book for dinner so I hope it turns out nice.

I think they will weigh more frozen than cooked, so the 200g you had cooked weight was heavier frozen weight... and syns is on the frozen weight so errr... I'd count it as 3 syns to be safe :o But that's just the way I'd do it :p

    Ta Vixie:D

Well I didn't marinade the turkey overnight like the recipe said but it still turned out to be quite nice. I added some extra spices as well as it was quite mild and lacking a little bit in flavour tbh It wasn't my favourite curry from the book but I would def make again, although I may use prawns next time as I think they go really well with saag.

I went to Tesco earlier and they had mikados half price at 59p, and shape zero yoghurts half price at 75p:money: I bought the dark choc mikados and the 3 pack of the milk choc ones. I've just opened one of the boxes from the multipack and worked out that its only 8.5syns for the whole box so I've decided to scoff them all and treat myself:rotfl:

8.5 syns for a whole box of mikados seems very good value!

Well I lost 0.5lb, but as they say every little helps and at least it is a move in the right direction. Couldn't be bothered to stay to class though as there was a cooking demonstration of mushy pea curry and it was stifling in there! You lot on here will have to be my inspiration this week.

claire- you've just reminded me of a lovely saag aloo I make. I reckon it could quite easily be free on a green/EE day so I might just give it a whirl with some rice.

Well done on your losses got it and daisy:T

Re mikados its the smaller 39g boxes (the ones that come in pack of 3) that are 8.5 syns per box.Its a shame they don't do the dark choc ones in a box that size as I find it hard to resist them once the box is open:o

I've just eaten the box whilst watching BB and it felt like such a proper non diet treat:D
