I've had a fantastic WI this evening. I lost 4 pounds :j .
I got my 10% award, and I was slimmer of the week so I got a fridge magnet and the bowl of fruit.
I now lost 17 pounds in 9 weeks!!

Has anyone tried mixing quark with mature cheese to make a sandwich filler or topping for toast? Does it work and does the quark take on the flavour of the cheese?
I'm so hungry, but not sure what to have!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
I often do that, but I don't mind the texture of quark - some people don't like it. But for the best effect you need to do it an hour or two in advance (or more) so the quark takes the flavour of the cheese. Also, personally I think it works best with full fat extra mature grated cheddar, even tho that's a smaller portion than a HE of reduced fat cheddar.
WI for me today, lost 1lb which is pretty normal for me - but doesn't compensate for the 2.5lb gain that I had last week :mad:I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

Yey! Well done, that is fantastic
How do you get slimmer of the week? I mean how is it worked out? Because surely it is easier to get it if you start with more to lose? I am just wondering out loud, I mean that is fine by me but must mean if you start slimmer and then lose say, 1% of your body weight one week that will be less if you start with less to lose. So do those people get a chance to be slimmer of the week too?
Hmm...God is good, all the time

Oh, and for the record, the Slimming World website is one of the worst organised I have ever seen. Things are not logical, symbols are not explained, the layout doesnt make sense... Sort it out Slimming World, Weightwatchers is a lot, lot better!God is good, all the time

Hmm...
The slimmer of the week is the person who lost the most that week but they also have to have lost or maintained the previous week - I got it once :T You're right in that it is easier for people with more to lose and therefore have bigger losses - it doesn't seem particularly fair, but I'm not sure how else they could do it.
My WI tonight and I appear to have lost 2lb on my 'morning weight' so am hoping it shows on my 6pm weight too lolSome people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0 -
Hi Guys,
WI last night wasn't a complete disaster as expected, I only gained half a lb which isn't bad considering how awful i was at the weekend. Diet is back on today but haven't planned my meals as not much in so will be throwing random things together!
Hayfever making life difficult, anyone else struggling?
Am starting to really dread my race for life at the weekend now, its going to be so warm!!
Have a good day all!

Some excellent losses, well done :j:T. Hugs to those of us who didn't. It will be better next week I'm sure. Fingers cross for my WI tomorrow... I'm sad I can't wait for tomorrow to put myself out of my misery.
Today (EE)
B - Nothing as I need to go shopping
L - Veggie chow mein (h/m so 0.5 syns for oyster sauce)
D - h/m Turkey Escalope (1 for dusting of flour) Salad and h/m potato salad (1)

Syns = 4.5. Will try to keep to that as I ate all my syns for the week as of yesterdayso I'm over for this week (naughty larger at the pub last Fri, should have had vodka!)
Can anyone tell me how many syns 28g of Granola is please? Mine has nuts in if that makes any difference. Thank you xx"People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -
