Hi all, the last couple of days have gone totally to pot! OH's grandad has been very ill and ended up being taken to the hospice on Wednesday and he passed away yesterday morning :-( Soooooo the food thing has been the last thing on my mind. Back to it today though but I don't hold out much hope for weigh in! Here's my meal plan for today:

Breakfast - weetabix crunchy bran, banana, mixed berries, yogurt
Lunch - not sure yet but I have some eggs to use up so perhaps an omlette and salad.
Tea - something with pork fillet, will see what OH fancies when he gets up but will be either a gravy dinner of the mexican pork and rice recipe from the SW magazine.

thanks again - that's been very useful. I'm thinking I'll invest in the red and green cook books. Does anyone have any idea how much they cost - there weren't any at the meeting last week and I'm not going to be able to make it this week as I'm going to watch Green Day :j:j so I was going to ask a friend to pick them up for me if poss.!

They're £2.95 each and well worth it IMO :)

Lisa26 - I'm sorry for your loss. Don't worry about sticking to plan at the mo, it will just delay reaching your target by a few days , not worth a jot when you're grieving. Look after yourself (and OH too).
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • Had a really awful day today. I was walking back from town earlier and was followed by 3 lads in their 20s who proceeded to say I had a big a*s, do you shave that beard etc. I have been so upset all afternoon. At 5ft 3" and 10st 10, I am overweight but not massive by any means - and I don't have a beard!!. I felt like I was back at school being bullied it was a horrid feeling. Some people are so cruel and think it is hilarious making fun of others. I didn't know what to do or say was so shocked so I just walked faster at which point they continued to say that the fat a*s was wobbling!!! Still really upset by this, I know I shouldn't let it get to me but it has really knocked my confidence.

Anyway, feels better to let it out!!!!!!!

Well done to all the sts and losers, and chin up those who have put on.

    I sts this week.

Lisa26 Sorry to hear about your loss. x

On the side of sw, i fell off the wagon last night after a couple of syns in the form of wine i scoffed a whole 150g bag of crisps!!! but i'm back on now and i figured that if out of 7 days o have 1 bad day that's not a complete disaster right? We had a bbq last night and i made burgers from one of the magazines and veggie kebabs and they were lovely, my OH and sister were really impressed so i was pleased we still managed a bbq with healthy food. The wine was low alcohol so less synful but hey, it was good!!!! :) i plan to be very good until Weigh in on Tuesday. Hopefully.....!!

You have my sympathy Karen, some people especially young people can be so cruel. The positive thing is you WILL lose weight but they will have to work a lot harder to change their attitude and behaviour and until something bad happens to them they aren't going too change.
So chin up and keep thinking positive xxxxxxxxxxxxx

    MrsMccawber - WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa, big hugs for you and OH

KarenGentles - not specifically weight related, but a gang of lads a couple of years ago yelled at me something about "old cow" so I turned and confronted them (ok I had to follow one into the gents and drag him out to face the music :D ) - I pointed out that I might be old, everyone gets old at the same time, but that gangmember #1 was thick simply for picking on ME; gangmember #2 had a row of bad black teeth; gangmember #3 had stickout ears; and gangmember #4 was only 4 ft tall (and looked silly puffing on a fag :rotfl: ), therefore none of them really ought to be picking on anyone else :D. It probably wasn't the best thing to do for their wellbeing, but by god it made me feel better; and I hope it stopped them ever picking on anyone else without thinking twice about it. And you, at your height and weight, I don't understand what they were picking on? Did you get a look at what they looked like? I suppose your response of ignoring them was more ladylike and responsible though :A
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
