Have subscribed to this thread and been reading all the inspiring posts. Joined Slimming World last week after losing a stone at weightwatchers with DD then putting it back on when I stopped smoking. I needed to try something different so joined Slimming World. It's my first weigh in tonight so will see how I've got on.
I'm vegan so been following the green days and substituting dairy for soya and nuts etc.
Want to lose that stone I put on again and hopefully this time will keep it off. I did join with my DD but she just couldn't get her head around the free foods system and comparing it to Weightwatchers and why their food is pointed and yet it's free on Slimming World.
Sorry for the ramble, hope you don't mind me joining in as and when.

    Welcome to the thread.

I understand your DD worries. After doing weight watchers SW is a big adjustment, but so worth it in the long run.
It sometimes takes a while to adjust to it, but if it is followed it really does work.

    Good luck.

    Jo

    Thanks Jo.
Just got back from Slimming World and only lost one pound:sad: Listening to others there who hadn't done as well as they wanted, we all had in common...ex Weightwatchers. Our group leader didn't think we were eating enough so we have to up the food intake and not to compare it to WW.
Will follow religiously this week and add my menu on here just to make sure I'm eating enough.

Had my 2nd weigh in this morning (am doing the plan at home) and have lost 2.5lbs :D:D:D

That makes 6lbs in 2 weeks so I am extremely pleased with that.

I don't have a meal plan as such today as I am going to a wedding today and am not sure of the food. It is a reception which starts at 4pm so I am having breakfast and lunch as normal and then I'm assuming it will be a buffet this evening so am going to have to try really hard again to make good choices - I don't want to outdo all my good work so am determined that I'm not going to ruin it on one plate!

Breakfast: Fat free natural yoghurt, blueberries
Lunch: 2 slices wholemeal bread, lean ham, salad with a scraping of low fat lemon, lime and coriander houmous. Fruit of some description.

Also going to try and avoid alcohol this afternoon. Am not that bothered about booze anyway and it just has so many empty calories in it I'm not sure it's worth the risk of affecting my weight loss for the sake of having a quick drink.

    Hi All,
I woke up late so am very glad i kept some of yesterday's dinner for lunch! Hate starting late, it throws me off for the day.
For me Brekkie will be fruit and a FF Yoghurt, Lunch is Veg pasta, not sure on dinner yet, see how i feel, same with my syns! Snacks are Hi-fi bar (loving the choc orange one!) and some Blueberries.
    Here's to a good Friday...! Tink x
