Morning all
Another EE day for me. Have a bit of a possible danger area today though as we are having a buffet style lunch at work for our business manager as it is his 65th birthday and he is also retiring tomorrow. I’ve seen all the goodies in the fridge and lets just say I don’t think many of them fit in with the SW ethos!
As I knew we were having this lunch today I made a Slimming World quiche and have brought myself a piece of that. My item to bring for the buffet luckily was green salad so I made sure I made loads so I know that I can whack that with my quiche and hopefully not do too much damage to the plan.
So menu today
Breakfast: Fat Free Natural Yoghurt with Blueberries
Lunch: SW Quiche with salad (I will try and resist the mini sausages!)
Dinner: Homemade burger made with extra lean beef mince, herbs and a laughing Cow Light Triangle stuffed into the middle, Potato wedges, roasted vine tomatoes
Snacks: Cherry tomatoes, Cucumber Slices, Strawberries, Banana
Weigh in tomorrow so we’ll see how I’ve got on over my 2nd week.
One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
Well I went last night for the first time in a month, I had decided to stop and had eaten junk but I am well and truly back on board and starting afresh
The new consultant for my group is great, he has lost 17 stone! There is a big cardboard cut out of what he used to look like. He had brought in a load of cookbooks, set up a table with world-cup country themed recipes, brought some proper prizes for the raffle, had a 2lb fat block on the table, put cards out to take for the body magic, has signed us up to the electronic system... generally a totally different class and one I think I will get on well with. I am feeling much more positive.
I bought some scan bran which I ate this morning. My brain wanted to eat it but my mouth did not want to swallow, lol, I just had some water with it. If I have a couple a day I could use it as 1 syn but how many make a HeB? I would probably consider it a waste of them but I have heard that they really help with the loss.
Hope everyone is well!God is good, all the time

Just thought i would let you know they are 1 syn each now - you can have 5 for a HEb or have 1 weetabix & 4 scan bran as a HEb - Try using ff cottage cheese on top - or sliced banana and quark mixed with sweetner or for 2.5 syns you can mix quark with 11g (sachet) of white chocolate options and sweetner (to taste) for a creamy topping or use your HEa for cheese - either cheddar melted on top with worchester sauce for a mock cheese on toast or extra light triangles!
I think the key to scan bran is what you eat with it! It is very cardboardy but it does help you 'go' so make sure you have some nice loo roll! :rotfl:
The others might be able to give you some more tips on what else to use with it!
My day today is Green
B- 1 weetbix (1/2 HEb) sliced banana & muller light
L - coucous with carrots, sweetcorn, cannelini beans & spices
T - Tomato pasta with carrots courgettes mushrooms bean spring onions followed by strawberries with muller light
S - 4 Scan Bran (1/2 Heb) with 42g low fat cheddar (HEa) & either bag of ryvita minis or hifi bar or 2 alpen lights for other HEb
Drinks - Coffee with milk (HEa)
Legs, bums and tums tonight - going to hurt tomorrow!0 -
Hello everyone!!
Another crazy day for me!!
B - 28g Fruit and Fibre (1/2 heb) with milk (hea) followed by 1 ryvita w/g crackerbread (1/2 heb) with reduced sugar jam (1)
L - (had time today.. just) Jacket pot with ff cottage cheese
S - Banana, Cherry ML yog and a Pink and White (2.5)
D?? Not sure yet. I'm fancying quorn sausage with baked beans and toast (bread heb2) But if i dont want that i havent had my second Hea/heb so can go extra easy if i want to
Total syns - so far 3.5 (if i can eat the pink and white)
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

Well just done some body magic walked my little un to school walked to the shops then to M/i/L and my hubby and I moved half a ton of chippings about 10 yards onto a patio area shovel and bucket job on nearly 6,000 steps already does anyone else use a pedometer and just wondered how many steps you clock if you do i feel to big to swim at present so walking is my new black at the mo ...
Our consultant gave someone really struggling advice to take one day at a time instead of worrying about 7 100% days before weigh in I think thats something that will help me no end too so today im going to be 100% then tomorrow wel see !!! if that makes sense..
B- slice of melon handful of grapes and a small banana and a mullerlight..
l- 2 wholemeal bread 1heb and 1 4 1/2 syns lean bacon, heap of lettuce and a tomato mayo 1 syn.
D- pasta and home made bolegnese x l beef mince onions carrots peppers toms garlic etc...
hea= skimmed milk for coffee and 5 1/2 syns used...may groc challenge £167/£280...0 -

Thanks for the advice. The pack I have has 1/2 a syn each written on it. Why has it changed do we know? I still think I would rather syn them at 2 syns and then have 2 alpen light bars, yummy yummy.
I shall take note of the loo roll and ensure we are stocked up. I did feel more full up to lunch today than usual but will have to find creative ways to use it from now on.
Hope your class goes well tonight and you aren't in too much pain afterwardsGod is good, all the time

Your new consultant sounds brilliant. A good consultant makes all the difference in whether you stick it. if they are good i find myself wanting to go to class to be involved and share my loss.Ive had some not so good ones and I gave up after a few weeks.
re scan bran -i love scan bran topped with smoked salmon pate. i use the salmon scraps from the super market they are really cheap and already smooshed up a bit. Mix a pack of them with a tub of quark, add some slat, pepper, a squeeze of lemon juice and some dill or other herbs to taste. leave for a few hours to let the quark absorb all the flavours. its free on red and EE and very morerish. It goes great with scan bran. Im always gaurenteed a loss if ive eaten that as a snack each evening.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
