    Morning all

Well done on the great losses everyone :T

My meal plan for today is:-
    • 250ml semi skimmed X 2 = (Ax2)
    • warm water with lemon juice
    • 28g oats (B) don't have scan bran so might have a ryvita sesame later-will check on line to see if thats an acceptable swap wink.gif
    • mixed berries
    • banana
    • natural yogurt
    • SW cantonese pork in chili sauce (1.5)+stir fry (0.5)-extras left from last night wink.gif
    • cantaloupe melon
    • honeydew melon
    • pineapple
    • SW cardomom chicken
    • 198g potatoes (B)-sauted with onions (0.5)
    • cauliflower
    • carrots
    • SF jelly with berries (0.5)
    • creamy yogurt (8)
So that will be 11 syns used -unless I make any changes.. like last night, in the end I didn't want my yogurt so that was 8 syns less used than I planned!
Im sooo enjoying my first bash at a red week -just want to see what the scales say on Sunday ....if its good news then I can see me sticking to red days mainly :j
Hope everyone is well -have a great day everyone...off to make brekkie :D

  • Hi Al,,

I'm reallt struggling with SW this week but I'm struggling because I want to stick to it but can't really.

I have a horrendously busy week at work and am also moving in Saturday so manically packing in the evenings. i had decided that I was going to just eat whatever this week (not going mad) but not sticking rigidly to SW mainly because I didn't have time to plan and cook things frsh. However it is now Wednesday and I am startingt o feel really fat and bloated (even though I know I haven't really gained a ton of weight) and all I want to do is plan some nice healthy meals.

Roll on Sunday when I can plan for next week and hopefully get back on track. Such a nice feeling actually wanting to follow the plan :p

Hope you are all having a good week. Well done to all the losers and keep going to anyone who wasn't 100% happy with weigh in. You're all stars! :T

Hi All, I joined last night and my consultant was really helpful and friendly so i now know what i'm doing (mostly) with the extra easy. Do you all find it easier to have a meal plan for each day? When i've done that in general previously i've not stuck to the plan! Have not been a breakfast girl in recent months so am easing myself in with a mullerlight and a fruit salad today so hope that's going to hold me off until later, although i do have a sw bar if i get peckish before lunch. Not sure what i'll do at lunch as haven't been shopping yet, will have to go tonight..eek... :) Tink x

Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy the oreo cheesecake daisy, maybe it’s more you not liking of Quark that did it though? I think I might try making one at the weekend so I may be reporting back myself later this week!

Well done to all the losers (meant in the nicest possible way!)

Tinkabell I have been planning my breakfast and lunch the evening before and then I plan my dinner in the morning. I’m finding it is keeping me on track having a plan to stick to but I still get to see what I fancy of a morning for that evenings dinner too :D

Am having another EE day today, they seem to suit me quite well so will probably have them most days tbh. My menu today looks like this:

Breakfast: Fat Free Natural Yoghurt with Blueberries
Lunch: 2 slices wholemeal bread (HEB) half teaspoon of Heinz Creamy Light mayo (not sure of this but have put down as 1syn as only used a scraping) mixed salad and cucmber slices, 3 slices of extra thin smoked ham, 3 plums.
Dinner: SW Spaghetti Bolognase ½ syn

Snacks: Banana, Sliced Cucumber, Cherry Tomatoes, Fresh Strawberries

It will be weird not having garlic bread with the spaghetti bolognase but I’m not going to buy any so we can’t have it as once I have a slice I can’t resist another! I might get OH a small individual one so he doesn’t feel left out though.

I might treat myself to a copy of the SW magazine to get some new recipes and ideas tonight.

Well done losers and all you newbies :D

I plan maybe a day or two in advance but not rigidly, it has been known to change ;) Thing is I cook most of our meals for the whole family so I have to know what I'm doing as there is 5 of us so it has to be around what I have. Another one here who has a fridge and freezer full of Quorn, don't know what I'd do without it :D

Here's how my day is shaping up. Obviously have eaten up till lunchtime and I have the tomatoey pasta every wednesday as it's the only thing I've found to guarantee a number 2 before weigh-in tomorrow:rotfl:I've also started having a treat on weigh in day and then doing 100% the whole rest of the week. Really working for me and am not tempted to stray any more than that. (last 2 weeks it's been a slice of cake)
    Wednesday 9th June
Both HExA's for milk/coffee/cereals throughout the day
    Breakfast~
    1 slice wholemeal toast (HExB)
    28g blue cheese (HExB2)
    Banana
    Apricot and nectarine Irish yogurt
    Cup of tea
    Snack~
    Pkt Walkers crisps (5 syns)
    Lunch~
Quorn chilli (left over from last night)
Half pkt savoury rice with added courgette, onions, mushrooms
    Cup of tea
    Dinner~
    Tomatoey Quorn pasta
    14g Blue cheese (2.5 syns)
Lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, pickled onions, peppers

    Glass of water

If I can snack on fruit for my evening snack then it's shaping up to be a 7.5 syn day :)

Very proud of myself because the girls opened a tin of pringles yesterday and without even thinking I put 4 in my mouth! (obviously not proud of that bit) I got 4 more out of the tube and weighed them, worked out the syns (2 flipping syns for 4 crisps!!) and worked them into my day. Would have been a time I'd have helped them polish off the tube. Did make them leave the room with the rest though ;)

oh undoubtedly - the flavour and everything was nice
was really just the texture and that was down to the quark

interested to see what you think or others who have made it :)
