FairyShazza - of course I'll let you know. I'll order them later and get them sent to my mom's house and pick them up when I fly home next week for a visit. Fingers crossed they taste as good as the real thing."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0

Thought I'd post my EE day menu. Does this look ok?
B: 2 Eat Smart sausages (1 syn), Eggs done in Fry light, Baked Beans, Coffee (milk from HEA), Muller light orange and choc sprinkles
L: Pickled onion soup (yum!) Coffee (milk from HEA), BananaExtra lean stewed steak (Sainsbury’s tinned), Potatoes, Carrots, Peas, Sweet corn, Activia yoghurt, Coffee (milk from HEA)
Snacks: Grapes, Strawberries, Pineapple, Walkers Sunbites (6 Syns), Hi Fi bar (HEB)
Should be stuffed after all that as it's more than I would have eaten pre-diet!:xmastree:Merry Christmas0 -
Hi everyone, please can I join in? I have been following SW since October, though not always 100% as life seems to keep getting in the way, lol.
I haven't always been very adventurous with my cooking and am getting bored so,please has anyone any favourite Extra Easy recipes (I have the SW extra easy book) they would recommend? I was wondering whether to try the Chermoula Chicken this week... I have to please an OH who won't eat fish, DD(10) who doesn't like strong flavours and DS(9) who thankfully will eat everything!
Thanks in advance!0 -
Thanks to MrsM, Aliscrapper and TakeitEazy, I had a fab holiday, cruising in Alaska (first time cruiser) with a few days in Vancouver......very relaxing.
However, back to the grind and back on the wagon - there's wall to wall food on a cruise and my willpower didn't hold up I'm afraid
MrsMcCawber, you're a star. I'm so glad they recognised that on the website.
I love the fake 'Heinz' tomato soup too. Has everybody got the superspeed food soup recipe? If not I can put it up. It makes a massive amount (reeeealy huge) but is excellent for weight loss and tastes nice too. Might also help those having trouble 'going'.........well, no might about it actually
Welcome to the newbies on here and the new recruits to Slimming World. It's the best slimming plan in the world IMO but we all go off the rails occasionally. It's not a problem as long as you don't let one bad day turn into a week or a month. If you had a bunch of flowers and one died, you wouldn't throw away the whole bunch......think of your 'diet' in the same way. A binge will only push your target date back a little, but giving up will put it out of reach altogether.
So, onwards and downwards - summer's coming (though you can't tell by the temperature) and if you want to flaunt it on a beach you gotta keep at itI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Having second thoughts about the ButterBuds. I decided to do some research before buying (being the MSE'r I am) and they have been mentioned on the MSE forum - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/342382
Most people seem to think they are horrid... I think I will save my cash and get some low fat buttery stuff instead and use less of it. Oh well."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -
They don't have the best of reviews from that thread do they :rotfl: I think I'll just syn any butter I do use and just use less of it - we always have lower fat spreadable butter now anyway so maybe once in a while it would be ok.
I;d much rather have less of something that tastes nice than more of something that tastes rank! One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
I made the pickled onion soup today, and it is YUMMY! Tastes just like Heinz! Wonder if they put baked beans in their soup? Have decided tomorrow's dinner will be pasta shapes with the soup as a sauce, maybe throw in some extra herbs and chopped celery and peppers. My DS wants to add some chilli flakes to his! Unfortunately DH doesn't like tomato soup, so I'll have to make more leek and potato for him!
I would like the Superspeed soup recipe too please!
Just going to enjoy a small glass of vino as my syns for today! Thanks for the recipes!0 -

Here you go, but don't forget - it makes loads so use a massive pan or halve the recipe (though this isn't easy). Enjoy!
Speed food Soup (syn free on Green and EE)
1 can mixed bean salad
1 can green lentils (or a handful of dried)
2 cans chopped tomatoes
1 can baked beans
Handful of split lentils
2 large leeks
1 large onion
4 medium carrots
2 parsnips
1 each green, red and yellow peppers
2 vegetable stock cubes
Salt pepper
Mixed herbs
Water (enough to cover all ingredients)
Chop all vegetables. Put them and everything else into a large pan, cover with water, bring to boil and simmer until vegetables are soft (about 30 mins). Once cooked, the soup can be left chunky or blended smooth.
Freezes well.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
