I agree, it does seem bizarre but the reasoning behind it is that mashed it takes less time and effort to eat.

This is one place where I think you can safely use your own common sense and if you're only going to eat ONE banana then, personally, I wouldn't syn it. However, if it slips down so easily that you fancy another then perhaps it's better to eat it whole in the first place.

Welcome back consultant, hope you had a fantastic holiday
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I was told by the paediatrician when my DS was a baby, that the reason he only poo-ed every couple of days was that his body was using the food he ingested and there was very little waste to expel. I don't know if that holds true with an adult slimmer, but going multiple times a day tends to suggest quite a lot of over-consumption :rotfl:

I always find sweetcorn does it for me - too quickly at times :o (sorry TMI)

I think perhaps you are right and when I do, it's a much more satisfying experience ifkwim? :rotfl:

Welcome back Consultant! Did you have a nice holiday??

I'm hoping to make some of the Pickled Onion soup. I have problems "going" and find that the chocolate scan bran cake always helps!

    Morning all

Nice to have you back consultant :T-hope you had a good break :D

Well my meal plan for today is an original plan
    • 250ml semi skimmed (A)
    • lemon juice in warm water
    • 1 rasher back bacon
    • 2 eggs scrambled
    • 142g baked beans (B)
    • apple
    • banana
    • natural yogurt
    • 198g potatoes in skins(B)
    • carrots
    • onions
    • peppers
    • cucumber
    • celery
    • roast chicken
    • 42g feta (A)
    • nat yog
    • quark
    • fruit
    • creamy yogurt (8)
Because I had the cooked brekkie with hubby, I won't want/need much at lunch so fruit n nat yogurt it is nomnomnom...

We are nipping shopping tonight -so i like to do something that I can do in advance and just serve as soon as we get back and the shopping is away...
So Im doing a potato and vegetable salad with feta dressing and serving it with the roast chicken leftover from Sunday! its great as it will use up the last of the cucumber, potatoes etc -so I will have room for all the fresh salad I will pick up tonight ;)

ooohh and I got a notification on my online SW site and I am in the "hall of fame" -for being one of the top 10 people for weight loss in May :j -so that has spurred me on :p

on the subject of "toilet maters" :p...I always thought I was odd as I "go " after every meal...but according to Gillian McKeith -you should :D...I guess it is what ever is normal for the individual....and I can eat as much fruit n veg as I want and it never makes a difference to me... guess it is because I have always eaten a lot of it..
right -enough waffle -hope everyone is having a good week :D

Just got back from WI; 2.5lb off this week & I also got slimmer of the week! Only 1lb to go now until my 2 stone award, determined to get that next week. Really looking forward to Glastonbury now, hopefully the journey from the car park should be easier with 2 stone less to carry as well as all my camping equipment.

PS. Congratulations Mrsmcawber for getting in the hall of fame!

Hello Everyone, I have been a lurker on this post for a couple of days - trying to read every post!

I started SW about 3 days ago so on my 1st week. I used to go to SW about 4 years ago but never really stuck to it so it didn't work... but I WILL NOW and have done so far. There are no meetings where I live so have to do it without. I still have my books so will reuse them. I haven't got my head around EE yet so will stick to the old school Red & Green until l am in the swing of things.

There are some great recipes and tips you are all sharing - so a big thank you as I feared I would fall into a rut and get bored and fall off the wagon... but with your help I know that won't happen.

I have a question.... I have just come across something called 'Butter Buds' from Lakeland. Their website said .

.....Butter Buds contains five calories per serving. Each serving (one teaspoon) is equivalent in flavor to two teaspoons of butter and they are fat free.

Now I LOVE butter on jackets. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience of these and would they be sin free???

    Thank you in advance

    xxx

Just about to try the Pickled Onion Soup - will let you know how I get on with it!:D

    hiya ali

i did it yesterday and thinking im not sure about this when i put everything in the pan, but gave it about 15 mins for everything to kind of soften up and blended it - and it was GORGEOUS, even hubby and daughter loved it:T

didnt add any other stuff to it had enough salt for us and the pickled oinions gave it a lovely spicy kind of taste or perhaps a bit kind of peppery,

but hey ho it went between us so off to get more today and cook it up later again,

had lost my way mid week but back again and lost 1 pound in today's weigh in

keep on having fun with it cheers MAZ
