I use Quark in omellettes Ali. Half tub of quark, 2 eggs, 14 g of cheese mixed in and whatver extras you want. Tastes SOOOO cheesy! And only uses half a HE - makes a humungous omellette too. Nommy, nommy. Just cook one side of the omellette in the pan then whack it under a hot grill to do the top and it rises up nice and fluffy. Num!

Oh and now I've done the slimming bit - check out this girls blog, new giveaway every week. I won it a few weeks ago. Sparkly Copics!! She's so lovely too. Have got a couple of candies on my crafty blog sidebar that I've found. That other blog you mentioned I find it very hard to view on my screen, dunno why, maybe my pc playing up again. Shame as looks a good blog.

I think I might have to get Other Half to get me some Quark tomorrow:D - I love omelettes and have just got myself one of those frying pans with the red spot in the middle to encourage me to make them more often; as even with fry light they don't stick!:D

Thanks for the comp links! I must get myself a blog up and running; as I can't enter some of the competitions as I can't put the link on a blog.:(

Qucik question for you all do you plan your meals for a week in advance, day in advance or do you just decide in the morning?

Bit of both for me. I do the weekly shop every thursday straight after WI so I have a rough idea what I am buying for the dinner meals each week. But it generally goes on what the whole family wants for the evening meal. Breakfasts I usually have porridge and a banana so no planning there, lunches I just raid the fridge and cupboards... usually either leftover chilli, an omellette, cous cous and Quorn, savoury rice or a sarnie and salad.

I LOVE that Pasta bake with the Batchelors Pasta in sauce BTW. I adapted it a bit as was making it for the family and was using 2 packets. Instead of 4 eggs for the two packets I did just the 2 eggs and a tub of Quark (again!) and then grated in my 28g of cheese as well. It went over 4 people so just counted it as half my HE. It was GORGEOUS! Stocked up on more packets today :P Thank you for whoever posted it! Even OH said he could have ate the whole lot, it was yummy.

Ali, I use blogger, it's so easy. Again, addictive though :P

This might sound insane, but I actually plan for a month at a time! It's part of doing the grocery challenge for me; this way I always know what I've got in the house & whether I've got enough meals to cover the month. It also helps because I know when I need to do a bunch of batch cooking then to freeze - for example this weekend I'm going to be cooking up massive portions of syn-free spaghetti bolognese to go in the freezer, as well as pasta sauces and soups. That way when I 'can't be bothered' to cook (which happens quite often) I've got something on hand to quickly make a 'proper' meal that fits in with the plan.

    Hi all,

I went shopping last night after my exercise class and they had quark in stock.... yay :j
Also brought the WW yogurts that were mentioned - tbh not that keen on them - they taste quite 'fake' to me!
Also got 2 punnets of strawberries for 26p each - i love reductions!

I am making KFC chicken tonight - i hope it goes well - my OH loves KFC - we will have to see about the taste!

I will make SW chips with it - but to be on EE today - what veg do you recommend i put with it?

I am eating plenty of fruit today and my lunch is nearly all superfree foods - apart from the quorn balls!

Saturday will be a flexi day as i am going to a hungry horse pub - going to stick with a original day - have the mixed grill - beans and jacket (heb) instead of chips and peas - then i am going to blow all my syns for the week on a desert!!! lol Can't wait

Well done to all losers :T

    mmmm sounds nice

how about a nice big salad with it

Yesterday started off good. I had scrambled egg and baked beans and toast HE

Lunch noodles and egg fried rice (left overs from last night) 4 syns with a whopping pile of beansprouts

    so far so good

Tea - was doing a mystery shopping thing so missed tea met up with 2 friends .....do you see where this is going?????

thats right all the way to the bar. Started off just a slimline tonic (they are big drinkers and can't ever keep up) then vodka and tonic (2.5 syns) ok not bad then 2 large glasses of wine (14 syns:eek::eek:) Then I for some mad insane reason went to burger king. I haven't been in there for 10 or more years so why i did it i don't know) I did have the piri piri which looked the lowest 314 cal only ate half the bread and all the chicken which had a slight tang to it but no batter and was dry:( so didn't even enjoy it.

    NOT GOOD AT ALL

never mind today we had berries and yog for breakfast 1 slice of ww toast 2 syns no spread I was just craving carbs(joys of hang over) so thought if i ate that it might curb it. 1 m&s choco corn flake cake thingy 2 syns

Am off on a picnic with the kids so have made a spanish omlette to take and some fruit

    catch you all later

Nessie, how about some grilled tomatoes and mushrooms, or peas or baked beans with your kfc and sw chips?

I am trying to eat as many superSPEED foods as I can this week. Sainos had bogof small English strawberries, they were divine, really tasted of strawberries (unlike some) and I've also got melon and apricots. I have typed out a list of all the Speed and Superspeed foods that I enjoy, to save me trawling through the lists of things I'm never likely to eat, and I am going to carry it with me so I can concentrate on buying them in the fruit and fish lines. What with that and the pickled onion soup, surely I will lose something this week.

Unfortunately we have limited freezer facilities as we only have a one shelf compartment in the top of our fridge for freezer stuff, a large part of which is taken up by the top tier of our wedding cake :( We don't even have space for a chest freezer anywhere so can't go down that route. I can't wait till we move and I can have a proper freezer again - I had to sell mine when I moved in with OH as there was noweher for it to go.

This means I can't make stuff in advance but just make it as I go along. I'd like to plan my meals but I do have a tendency to change my mind at the last minute about what I'd like! Maybe I could plan but also have a list of favourites on stand by just in case I don't fancy what I'd planned on the day :o

So far I've had fat free natural yoghurt with fruit for breakfast. A cup of decaff coffee with one serving of coffee mate light (1.5 syns) some sliced cucumber and an orange as a snack. I have a salad for lunch, banana for afternoon snack and am thinking of having a ham omelette with salad and jacket potato for tea :)
