    Hi all... hope everyone's well..

Re the Quark - has anyone ever tried it as a filling for jacket potatoes? i'm thinking it would be a bit like sour cream but not sure if i want to waste a jacket potato trying it...

I had peanut butter(mixed with quark) and bananas on toast this morning for breakfast - not fried in bacon fat like Elvis! It filled me up so much I forgot to eat lunch til 3pm! i'm sooo shocked at myself - i've usually got food on the brain morning, noon and night!

    Food today - green day

    B - Peanut butter, banana, 2 x toast - HEB, 3syns
L - late - omelette, cheese and onion - HEA
    D - Potato, spinach and mushroom curry, 2 poppdums - 4 syns
    drinks - tea & milk - HEA

need another HEB so may have an alpen bar later, but i hate making myself have extra when i don't feel like it.. feels like a waste!

    Have a good day all . x

    Afternoon everyone :)

I'm pleased to report another lb off, yay!

I'm suffering a little today, OH gets up before 5am on Friday mornings for work and I never get a good nights kip as a consequence. I've been headachy and nauseaus all day. I havent eaten much and I hope I haven't screwed things up?

Breakfast - 1 weektabix and mullerlight (couldn't manage 2 weetabix this morning)
Lunch - bag of cheese and onion crisps and diet coke at the pub (I had made an egg sandwich but couldn't stomach it)
Dinner - two quorn burgers with a wholemeal roll and a slice of cheddar.

I've also had 3 small chocolate chip cookies, half a banana and several cups of milky tea.

I feel a little better now but am wondering what nice, comfort type foods can I keep on hand for days when I feel hungry and tired?

Pee. I have one word for you. Quorn. Take Quorn sozzies, burgers (Quorn burgers are £1 in freezer section of Tesco at the mo), Quorn mince made into chilli, jacket spuds wrapped in tin foil (then smothered in the chilli) stuffed peppers, chicken breasts stuffed with Quark, garlic & herbs... droooooooling now... veggie kebabs, chicken kebabs... OMG I cannot be hungry when I've just had lunch :D

Quorn is king in our house, even OH likes the stuff now!

Comfort type foods - I've just found out the Savoury Rice pkts are free on Green days. had some for my lunch today, chopped some onions into it and some Quorn pieces. Really filling and naughty tasting. Was delish.

Also I don't think you can beat a bowl of hot porridge with a banana chopped into it. Stodgy comfort in a bowl :)

    Pickled onion soup:

I've had it for lunch everyday this week almost! Totally cured my cravings for Heinz cream of tomato soup which I LOVE but at something like 11 syns it's off the menu. When it's a choice between spending syns on soup or chocolate I'm sure you can guess which one I choose :D

Thanks! Will have to try this as I love Heinz cream of tomato soup!:D

Sorry to ask a daft question - but are pickled onions still syn free?? Thanks
