Well I'm off to Glastonbury on the 22nd of June, camping out for 6 days; has anyone got any ideas of some food I can take down with me?
Obviously I'm going to be stocking on up Alpen Light bars to take, and last year we found stalls selling milk were readily available so I shall be carting Weetabix down with me, but it's more ideas for meals to cook over the camping stove. I've already brought my normal Dolmio express bolognese (7 1/2 syns! Gulp!) but I'm in need of some other options for SW friendly meals (anything to keep me away from the burger vans
)
Bluefire - these threads aren't SW specific, but you may get ideas you can tailor
Music festival food - Old style? (starts out with a thread for no cookery equipment, but other threads are merged with it
)
Camping mealplans
caravan , camping and holiday cookery
Depends on how much you want to carry. Mushy pea curry could be whipped up but that involves tins.... I'll have a think!
Pasta in sauce? Savoury packet rice? Savoury pack couscous ? Those mugshot things (i think, never had them)
My staple at festivals is flapjacks homemade - easy , filling, full of good fats (packed with nuts and seeds and oats). Between that, and bread from supermarkets, i think my last one I managed not to buy any of the rubbish from the stalls! Plus i had legendary status, pulling out flapjacks right up to the last day. They obviously are against SW principles (syn wise) but sometimes you have to be practical too
Also - any ideas for picnic food may offer some helpA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men :cool:

When we go camping a must for me is a can or two of morrison's ratatoui (CAN'T SPELL SOZ) If you put a can with 400 mls of hot water with a stock cub in is a lush easy soup for 1 syn or great over pasta for 1 tin
Guys lost 1 1/2 so really pleased this week:j
catch up with you all later x x:happyhear YUMMY MUMMY TO HENRY BEAR AGED 10:happyhearslimming world need to get back to target 25lb to goDisney World here we come May 2018:j0 -
Thanks so much for this recipe; I was at a loose end for lunch today so decided to make it & it's really quite lovely! Here's hoping I lose 3-5lb next week

I've just made it (half quantity in case I didn't like it).
IT'S FAB, like a really rich home made tomato soup. I don't know what those pickled onions do, but they do it well. Now fingers crossed that naughty pound will lose itself by next Tuesday.
edit: just read the recipe again - I did it in the wrong order, I blitzed the ingredients THEN I warmed it through (with some fresh basil and tiny cubes of Cathedral Low fat cheddar) - it was wonderful and probably easier to blend it cold than hot
:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

They're BOGOF in Sainsburys at the mo too. I just got two bags for £1.89 :money:Well I'm off to Glastonbury on the 22nd of June, camping out for 6 days; has anyone got any ideas of some food I can take down with me?

I would take lots of pasta in sauce, some dried couscous and maybe some frozen Quorn sausages. Also some small tins of beans (Heinz ones have a ring pull so you don't need a tin opener).
I lost another 2.5lb tonight taking me to 19lb in 8 weeks. I am so chuffed :j. 10% and 1.5 stone awards here I come next week
.
Also I won the raffle this week- a big bag of salad stuff.
I'm definitely gonna try that soup, although I'll do it with fresh carrots I think as that is all I have.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

Hi Everyone,:hello:
Thought i'd join in if you'll have me.. i've read the whole thread and picked up some lovely recipes which i shall be trying at the weekend amd lots of inspiration.
I started SW last year in May (for the umpteenth time) and lost 2.5stone, got really fed up with it in Sept and since then have put 1.5stone back on - I don't find EE 'easy' at all, i find it far too tempting to stuff myself..:(
My partner has lost 4 stone in that time, but is now struggling because i'm no longer following the plan so I decided it was time to get myself together and lose the weight again, whilst helping him lose his final 2 stone.
Anyway enough of me rambling, well done to all the losers on here. You are all doing really well and I hope I can try and match some of your fab weight losses.

Sorry I've not been on the thread recently. It's just over 4 weeks to our wedding:eek: and it's been madness recently!:rotfl:
Well done to all those who have lost and well done to all those who are struggling with the Plan for trying!:T
I managed to get to my Slimming World class tonight and lost 2 pounds!:D I'm over the moon and my new consultant (I've swapped classes) is really supportive and inspirational.:j
Welcome Moo to the thread! I lost 3 stone to start off with and then put 1.5 stone of it back on; but I re-joined Slimming World 18 months ago and have gone on to lose a further 4 stone 6.5 pounds. Well done for getting back on the Plan:T - you will get there and we are all right behind you!0 -
