    wooohooooo!

I just had to tell someone - I have just got into an old favorite pair of size 14 jeans and they are comfy!

I've been in size 16's for about a year! I don't think it is weight loss tbh as I have only been on sw for a week and I had a sneak peek at the scales today and there hasn't been a seismic shift.

I think it is more to do with eating less bread and drinking more water - so less bloating. But whatever I am a happy bunny, and whatever my WI says tomorrow, I feel I am on the right track!

    Hi all,

i have been lurking on this thread for about a month and am finding it very inspirational! i have been always done slimming world on and off for the last 4 years, just as and when i need to. i'ver been back on it for 4 weeks now and just can't seem to stick with it...my will power has gone big time! i haven't got masses to lose, about 10lbs and i've lost 2, but i just can't seem to stay focused on it!

Today has been a write off completely!! i had a good breakfast and lunch but bicuits and sweets inbetween! somedays i just keep eating until i feel i'm going to pop!! i know its emotional and when i get stressed out i usually have to find something to eat! sorry this is a rambling post but does anyone have any good snacks they can advise which might see me through the next couple of weeks (i'm making someone redundant over that time:()??? i will also look at other posts for inspirational meal ideas that are hopefully MSE!!

Many thanks for any help in advance!:D

Hi all, I've been really bad all weekend with a Wedding on saturday and my Godson's 2nd Birthday party yesterday. I'm going away camping this weekend but I'm determined to be good. I'll be cooking breakfasts and teas and we will just be having lunches out so hopefully I won't do too much damage!!

Does anyone know the syn value for M&S layered cheese salad? (The big, full fat one). I've looked it up on the syns online but I can't find it and I've thrown the packaging away so I can't use the syns calculator. I found the prawn one which was about 13 syns on green. I think I will do green today as I can then count some of the cheese as my second HEA (or B as I only had one of those so far too!). I'll just avoid having any other syns today then hopefully I should be ok!

Lisap84 - what about snacking on fruit and veg or depending what days you have - snack on plain pasta or chicken slices etc. Or syn free yogurts?
You could also try scan bran with various toppings (most include quark!)
As you only have 10lbs to loose i reckon you will find it hard (sorry :-() unless you up your exercise? Go for a walk/jog/run around the block every night? Its free
Or if you wanted an incentive - join a gym/exercise classes that you have to pay for monthly and you have to go to get your money worth out of them!

Thanks for everyones opinion for my day yesterday - i'm sure it will be ok

Just found a good website for syn free sausages/burgers - a little on the expensive side though!!! it is: www.joessausages.co.uk
Might be good for the BBQ!!!

They also have been certified by slimming world!!!

I'm so disappointed today - I weighed in after my first week on the diet and I've only lost 1lb :(

I thought I was doing ok, it's my * week so maybe that's had an effect on it, I don't know??

I had a bit of a splurge yesterday cos we were at a friends all day for a bbq, but I'd stuck to it 100% for the rest of the week.

I feel like giving up but I can't I really need to lose weight.......gotta pick myself up and carry on

I lost 1lb on my first week and I was so disappointed especially since the girl I started with lost 6lb!! We both needed to lose about the same amount too. I've been doing it 13 weeks now and have lost........13lb :)
The other girl has put what she lost in 3 weeks back on (she didn't stick to it) and she doesn't come anymore. I've just had to accept that for me it's a slow process, but it's a steady loss and I'm happy with it. I know it doesn't help that I tend to stick to the same 2 or 3 meals all the time, but again, as long as it keeps coming off I'm in no great hurry - just really looking forward to the end result :D
I don't really have star week, but I know that 'most' of my group struggle at that time so you may well find that next week you'll have a nice suprise :) Lots of luck xx

I know that is a healthier way to live. But am I the only person who doesn't like having to think about food all the time? It seems like food planning is taking over my life!!

    Sorry for the moan :(

I feel the same thing and find it quite stressful at times.

Since I order my food online I try to meal plan for the whole week including snacks but it doesn't always work

    Hi
You've made me feel soo much better now i've read your post. I had been really disappointed this morning but coming on here with everyone telling me to stick with it has just made me more determined to do it!
Your post has also made me realise that not everyone loses loads of weight every week and that a loss even if it is just 1lb is still a loss!
Thanks and keep up the good work! :rotfl:

mrsiwannabefree, if you haven't already I would highly recommend measuring yourself - I didn't and now I wish I had, because sometimes even if the weight doesn't seem to be shifting we're still shrinking :D

For everyone who feels that losing a small amount isn't great, have a look at posts by Blackberry Rum, eg #1663. Her avatar is a picture of half a pound of fat - just look at that and feel fab about losing a pound or so!

    WELL DONE mrs wannabe!

A 1lb loss is a good loss! Have you seen the 1lb of fat that the SW consultant has? It is GROSS!!!!

If you lose a steady 1lb a week, that is 52lbs (nearly 4 stones!)

TBH I rarely lose more than 1lb (2lb if I am VERY lucky) a week, despite following the plan carefully. It is frustrating especially when some people lose 4-6 lbs. But everyone is different and it also depends on how much weight you have to lose to start with - the closer to your target you are, the more difficult it seems to be to shift it.

But at least you are heading in the right direction :T
