This weekend I treated myself to a fillet steak. I bashed it out and then cut it in half to do for two days. Last night I cooked some new potatoes and a fennel bulb, then roughly beat them up and sprayed with olive oil and grilled in the Halogen oven until the top was crispy; meanwhile also cooked leeks and onions in chicken stock until reduced and soft, then stirred in some quark (ok I am a convert); then turned the halogen to highest and quickly grilled the steak. It was divine.

Today I grilled tomatoes and mushrooms in the halogen, then topped with the rest of the steak and four king prawns quickly grilled; meanwhile I cooked some fresh asparagus and synned 10g of butter on them.

Two meals fit for a king, I mean queen. Fabulous. And the only syn in two meals was the bit of butter :)

Another question on the frylite/olive oil debate, my intention is that when I have finished my bottle of frylite I will clean it out and fill with neat olive oil. Now my question is if I use say 2 sprays of oil how many syns would that be? Would 2 sprays be the equivilent of a tsp full or would it be less/more? Any ideas?
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I think you may need some milk or more cheese, for your HEA unless I've missed some calcium somewhere in your list :)

Takeiteazy, I may be wrong (but I lose a pound a week on average) but since I dumped the horrible Frylight and replaced my old sprayer, I have half olive oil and half water in there. I give it a shake before pumping and spraying and I don't count it as syns at all. I think someone on here recommended half oil half water.

    Evening everyone

Hope you all had a good weekend and are now raring to get back to work....errmmm.
Lost 1lb at WI this week - slowly, slowly, catchy chunky monkey !:)

Well, I did my 10k Race for Life today :j - super hot weather and now have achy legs and a very pink nose but also a little glow of satisfaction. It is always so fab to see how many people turn out and make such an effort.
Our warm up was shoddy but at least we had the Nivea cheerleaders this year - all camp as Christmas but who's complaining ?:D

It is our taster evening on Wednesday so I am looking forward to taking along my swiss roll and maybe even the cheesecake recipe posted about 10 pages back - sounds yummy.

I've been doing that since last thursday I ran out of my Frylite, I remembered seeing that way recommended on here. Works a treat and no more stuff sticking to my pans :D Not been synning it either.

eta: Well done BarmyCow, blimey good on you for doing that in this heat. We are supposed to be having a taster day on thursday but can't stay to the meeting so will miss it. Do they do them quite regularly?

Ive got up today and just dont know what to have. I fancy shredded wheat but I cant remember if the are a HEB or not, ill have to go and check.
Ive also came home with a leftovers from yesterdays BBQ but was thinking of having a green day. Decisions decisions.

I also have 6 very ripe and heading in the direction of being too yucky to eat bananas, anyone have any suggestions on what to do with them? Normally I would make banana loaf or banoffee pie but they are far too naughty.

EDIT Ive found out I can have 1 shredded wheat and a Ryvita breaks. I have no idea what that is so ill have 2 scan bran instead with some extra light Philly.
