    Inazuma - thanks for the link to that blog, have bookmarked it to read later.

    bluefire - how about having weetabix with FF natural yoghurt instead of milk. Its really yummy especially with some fruit like blueberries added.

    emmamumof2 - you're not a disgrace at all, just put it behind you and start again. None of us are perfect all the time:)

    daisy - re sausages I like the M&S reduced fat butchers classic ones at 2 syns each. I don't eat them very often so its a food I'm happy to spend some syns on. p-pincher thanks for the info on the tesco venison sausages, OH loves venison so will look for these next time i'm in.

    blackberry rum, highflyer79, chops22, nessie216 - well done of your losses:T:j:T:j

    And welcome to princess skint a lot and pennylane:D I think planning is the key to this diet, know what meals you'd like to have and shop accordingly for the week. Re must have essentials I think mine would be:

    * skimmed milk/ unsweetened soya
    * weetabix
    * Kellogs Fibre Plus Bars (the mostest essential item ever:rotfl:)
    * quorn mince
    * chopped tomatoes
    * FF cottage cheese
    * FF yoghurt
    * Fruit & veg (whatever takes my fancy/ is on offer etc as long as I have enough to last the week)
    * eggs
    *Starbucks:p

    I'm sure there's more but these are always the first things in my trolley when I go shopping. Its strange reading that list as I was never a breakfast person before SW and even now it takes a conscious effort to eat it but I really enjoy it when I do.

    Hi everyone

    Thank you so much for all your tips, am going to try out some of your recipes before i start next week, as i am trying to convince my DH to join too, but hes not too keen on the one lettuce leaf and a sniff of tomatoe type diets which he thinks he will have to do, so he says he will join if i can convince him (im also looking forward to tasting some of the things on here). Congratulations eeryone on their weight losses.

    Kind Regards

    Deb x

    hi, my other half wont touch fruit or veg unless its in a plum tomato or potato usually. but he really enjoys slimming world food usually if i just change it to suit him and then for me add some veg or a salad. but must say i won him over on the slimming world way of cooking with the slimming world chips. but must also add when i was attending sw meetings with my mum my dad wasnt on the eating plan but was easier for me or mum to cook there meals and most of the time he didnt realise he was eating them. =]
  • Hi all
    I re-joined SW 5 weeks ago and have lost 7lb so far had a bit of a blip as had an acute viral infection for 2 weeks and have damaged my leg and can't walk or drive at the moment :mad: Didn't get to my WI last night as I had no one who could take me - I live too far to go by taxi. I am going to really try and stick to it 100% this week as I have been quite naughty the last couple of weeks hence only 7lb. I try to stick to green days as I lose much more than on red or EE, but today my menu is as follows:

    Brunch: Omelette with a pinch of dried mixed herbs and black pepper with baked beans.
    Dinner: Chicken salad - no dressing with jersey royals.
    Snacks: Mullerlight yog orange with choc sprinkles, an apple, a banana and a tomato and herb mugshot
    HEa Semi skimmed milk 250 mls
    HEb Chicken
    Drinks tea with 1 sugar - 1 syn each 4 a day
    Water
    This is a great thread.

    Afternoon all

    Helloooooo to the newbies..and well done on more losses folks :T

    Princess-skint-a-lot
    My hubby is eating the same as me and is loving it...and admits that he would never consider it "diet" food .... although I DO have a fella who loves salad and veg (he doesn't bother with fruit -but we can live with that, plus its more for me :rotfl:)
    What I try and do is keep the meals as low syn or syn free where possible so hubby has SYNS to use on beer ;)
    We are actually eating less salad now than we were before:rotfl:..Im working my way through the SW cook books (luckily I love to cook) and Im trying to keep loads of variety in -so I don't get bored and feel Im missing out...
    Im sure if you shout on here you will get loads of ideas and help -and yummy recipes;)

    Well I have done 25 mins on the wii , so Im off to do some more meal planning...
    Have a good afternoon everyone :D

    Started almost two weeks ago. Lost 4.5 pounds in the first week, and I admit to weighing myself every day - I've lost two pounds so far this week :D

    My diet on a daily basis consiststs of on extra easy:

    B: two wheatabix, splodge of milk and level tsp of sugar (1 syn)
    L: I eat just fruit, starting at about 10am through to 12am. Followed by a muller light
    D: Usually meat n' potato or rice with two servings of veg, favorite being sweetcorn and asparagus at the moment.

    I used to eat a whole 500ml tub of ben and jerries or similar about two times a week whilst watching TV, couple of pints etc.

    Now I'm walking about 4-10,000 steps a day, gardening and getting out more. Today I've done about 4k steps and it's been a fairly lazy day.

    Before WI nights I tend to eat a full size meal (no food barred) with plenty of water until I'm full. Last week my partner and I cycled up there, hoping to do the same again (was fun, though there was plenty of moaning about full stomachs from the wife!). This week we're weighing in two hours earlier, so we'll have less of a weight because we probably won't eat before (shame).

    Reminds me to pick some more rhubarb for the fruit bowl!
