Hello Consultant
our slimming world consultant anounced in class that pasta or rice quiche is no longer aloud under the misuse of food thing. she says you can have the pasta in sauce seperately but not in the quiche.
I find that at the moment there are too many plans being introduced and its all getting very confusing, red, green, mix to match, extra easy, fast forward, success express. things that were free are not now. ie using cous cous to make cake, rice pasta quiche. we used to be able to buy rotiserie chicken bought from tescos and asda they were free and now have up to 30 syns. macarroni cheese was free on green and corned beef! how i miss corned beef, free on red and great for quiche base.
our consultant also says no more than 10 syns is now recommended from head office on SW
i am still doing sw. i stick to red and green otherwise I get lost.
just keep going and iam sure we will get their in the end._starting again! 06/01/15___________________________________0 -
hey all.
I will write off yesterday
Today so far
B 28g porridge made with water & added cinnamon & a chopped banana. 1 ryvita & 1 ex light laughing cow. (HeB1 & poss 1 syn)
L baked potato, plain lf cottage cheese, salad, quorn ham. apple & pear. Grapefruit.
May have the rest of the laughing cows allowed on the plan as my HeA or if not will syn that 1 up there & have 42g lf cheddar.
D not sure yet...
Other HeB to be 2 ryvita fruit crunch.

personally I'd just carry on & do what works for you.
I've not made the quiche things but so long as they're eaten as a meal I can't see the problem.

Fingers crossed for you Ali!
I have some marrowfats soaking , to make some tomorrow. I have a slow cooker bubbling away with quorn chilli at the mo - all free ingredients! (well there is a teaspoon of veggie stock granules in). Really trying not to use meat products to give it taste and it is surprisingly nice! Any quorn mince dishes i have had in the past have been vile but this is yummy!
on reflection of the EE plan, I think Green days are more suited to me. I don't eat meat every day , never mind every meal, so i really don't think it's worth it if that makes sense. I had HM savoury rice today with loads of veg, and cut half a chicken fillet up - it was lovely, but i had bacon for breakfast and that filled my meat needs for the day so I think I prefer green (but will finish today as EE as have had meat twice now and don't want to "syn" it)
Still getting my head round the misuse of food... a friend had asked her friend to find out in her class if roasted chickpeas were ok as a snack and it was confirmed they were fine. I guess the misuse thing is so newish and open to interpretation, it can be confusing to know what's what (but I am going to go with Consultants guidelines)
I must admit to making HM crisps the odd time when making SW chips and hoping i could count them as free - but knowing fine rightly they were naughty ! If something's too good to be true, it probably is.
I am hoping to stick to good old food and no "variations" which border on misuse of food. I really want to do well, and inevitably if I am trying to kid myself with foods, it will show on the scales.
Sorry, tangent possibly, I am just thinking out loud !:oA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
