Will have to give the mushy pea curry a go!:D I was thinking about adding Quorn - I love Quorn!:D Did you use three whole tins of mushy peas?? We would only be making it for two people.

I make it just for me and I use one tin of peas and one tin of tomatoes (1) - with the other stuff (onions, meat, other vegetables) it makes three or four meals just for ME!

    (1) I notice Consultant's recipe has baked beans; the recipe I used had tinned tomatoes and that's the one I use. I don't use mushrooms either, I hate boiled mushrooms. But I do use Indian-style vegetables such as aubergine, potato, fried up with the spices and garlic and ginger initially - and add spinach toward the end. Each to his own. Oh yes, and I never use a ready mixed curry powder, I always put in the spices I fancy or that i think go particularly well with the other ingredients. But it all works out the same.

Well done to all losers x

I am trying to stick to red days for rest of the week (not friday so i can have my chinese!) They are working so far, thought i would be missing out on potatoes/pasta but i am coping surprisingly well!

    Today Red
B - Coffee with milk (hea) 1 x alpen light (1/2 heb) banana
L - bacon, chicken, butternut squash, courgette, aubergine, tomatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, passata
D - pork chops, chicken, butternut squash, courgette, aurbergine, tomatoes & might have quark/ff cottage cheese sauce (might have some cheeese (hea) with it)
Pudding - 5 scan bran (heb) with mint choc options quark (2) 1 x alpen light (1/2heb) - Try to have limited amount of choc tonight, cut down on syns a lil!

Anyone got any suggestions on what to do with the chicken breast (syn-free)?

Me too am addicted to the stuff - it's basically all that's in my freezer :p

No I did 2 tins of toms and 2 tins of mushy peas. I had followed this recipe before I saw the one on here;) Except I added frozen spinach and cauli and onions as didn't have what she used :D My OH is addicted to this now and I have to make it at least once a week. Using 2 tins still makes up enough to feed myself, my OH and my eldest dd with a generous sized dinner.. Toddler has a smaller portion and then there is enough for me to have some as lunch the next day ;)

I think it tastes slightly of bombay potato personally and did try the sauce over potatoes as well the other day. Was yummy!

Consultant - thanks for the clarification on the HM bread, such a shame..... Oh, and the oil and what ever other questions you answered for me :D
