Where is this? I'm looking at the deal you describe now (T-mobile, 18 months, 600 mins, 500 txts, unlim data) on buymobilephones and it is coming up at £30 a month with £45 cashback. So if you include cashback from TCB as well the total cost is:

    (18 x 30) - (30 + 45) = £465

I had this initially, but think you may need to refresh the page or delete the cookies - you should get the new offers then - direct link:

    https://www.buymobilephones.net/mobile-phones/HTC/HTC-Desire-Free-Line-Rental-Discount/T-Mobile/T-Mobile-30-(18mths)-inc.-Internet/3963723

    (18*30)-(4*30)-30 = £395

Nice one, thanks for the link, I see it now.

I'd much rather go for http://www.buymobilephones.net/mobile-phones/HTC/HTC-Desire-Free-Line-Rental-Discount/T-Mobile/T-Mobile-25-%2824mths%29-inc.-Internet/3963719?adnetwork=dgm even though its a 24 month contract vs an 18 month, its cheaper per month AND if you screw up on the claims your only paying £25 as apose to £30 on the other contract, all for the sake of 6months more in contract.

Though it looks like they won't be getting stock anytime soon. Emailed them and they say they are expecting some early next week but all the stock they will receive will be consumed by current orders. Poo :(

I got am email last night saying 10-15 days, though I'm hoping I'll get one from Tuesday's stock (now how do I get loads of people to cancel their orders...).

I've only ever missed one redemption period in the last 5 years or so and the 18 month one I found was very keenly priced. Plus, I think the 24 month contract is a psychological block for me :p

Fancy one of these but dont wanna get stroked .

At the mo i,m on 02 simplicity £15 per month

To change to the HTC desire on 02 i,ve been offered 600 mins/unlimited texts for £35 per month , 18 month contract with an aditional £5 smartphone bolt on and they have the phone in stock and a one off payment of £49 .Doesnt sound great too me

Vodaphone are offering the desire 600 mins/3000 texts and 1 gb for £35 per month over 24 months

Anyone got better deals than these two ????

    Many thanks Pennywise 2

Orange Panther - unlimited web (fair usage policy), I think 600 mins and 500 texts. £30 a month for 24 months. fREE phone.

Go through mobiles.co.uk and get £40 automatic cashback. Go via Quidco onto mobiles.co.uk and get £70 from Quidco.

Vodafone have stopped live streaming on the Desire so you can't watch things like itv player, you tube.

Don't seem brilliant deals. If you use the mobilephonechecker.co.uk site there are a few that beat that. T-Mobile doing the 600mins/unlimited texts and internet (with potentially getting it up to the 3GB and another flexible booster) for £30 over 18months and £50 for the phone on mobiles.co.uk, which isn't bad.
  • I've posted elsewhere that I think you will get a better deal on the Desire in a month or so - the iPhone 4 will be out, there will be a glutt of reconditioned 3GS handsets (as well as the new 8Gb one) and new HTC and Samsung phones will be in the pipeline. At that point, prices on the Desire will drop.

    My 2p:

Don't get a new phone now if you can wait until the end of July or beginning of August.
In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move.

Not until the current stock shortage eases, contract prices have rocketed on the desire to try to stifle demand, once supplies arrive I expect we swill see prices improve, T-mobile had it for £10 per month (about £140 upfront cost) in March, now their cheapest deal is £25 and £340 upfront! hopefully prices will ease soon.
