Wow! You are really sounding positive at the moment, and it seemed to be a lovely day. Was the NT property a big one with deers? If so, there is a bike event on in June that I wanted to do.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Well I have finally lost another pound. I've really felt this week that it is as if my stomach is deflating!!! and that has shown in some additional loss of inches this week. My weightloss stood still for a week or so but my fat% dropped so I am claiming it as muscle gained LOL. Quite chuffed as I have almost gone down another BMI point, I have already gone down 4 bmi points since I started dieting.....
My total measurement improvements :jare given below (tracked since 18/2 so about 6/7 weeks):
Waist 5.5" lost
Hip 4" lost
Chest 5" lost
Bicep 2" lost
Thigh 3" lost
Calf 0" lost
Body fat 4% lost (using special body fat calculating scales):T
They show clearly why I can get in lower sized stuff for my top half
and not my bottom half!
Frustrating tho! I have really upped my walking but it isn't making any obvious difference (to my bottom half). Hard to do any more major exercise because of my arm problem still!
I only got up around 11am and am still really enjoying the peace. I managed to get all my DVDs back in the cabinet yesterday and am going to give some to my sister. I've also chucked a few into OH's room as they are specialist/18s not suitable for family viewing (minimise temptation for my 13 year old!!)
Still want to tidy up the rest of the room.
Plan for today:
- Have some porridge (I just had a tiny bit of cake as a treat but now should have some proper brekkie)
- Try to get living room straight
- Try to get another washing load in before I go out
- Then perhaps go back to the NT property as I always feel so at peace there - lots of trees, deer, birds chirping away
- Have lunch there possibly - they do really nice food
- Nip to ikea - pick up another couple of bits. I really liked by bedroom light that I bought - and want an identical one for the hall way to light up a picture I have just above a table. :j It is kind of a ball shape so I am hoping it won't easily be knocked over.
- I also want to see if I can get a hanging rail for DS to run between his desk/cupboard and the wall so he can hang some clothes up rather than leaving them all over the floor :eek:I'm probably in dream land thinking it will make any difference!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
- Get the children:eek:
- Restart normal life, hopefully feeling more rested, nourished and calm (rather than stressed off the scale!!):rotfl:

SH, you doing brilliantly at your weight loss! Go girl!!

The NT property sounds lovely.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Well had another lovely day today. Went to NT property - had lunch and wrote in my journal.:A I then had a long walk round the grounds - taking photos with my new HTC phone as I went. I then went to Ikea and picked up a lamp for our hallway and some over the door hooks for DS (he has no wardrobe). I also bought a little stool for the grand price of £2.85! I bought some bits from the Antonious storage system for DS (kind of basket shelves and a wardrobe rail) but they were out of stock on the wall brackets and the fixings so will have to go back. I will be going back in that direction next weekend when I drop DD off for the Easter holidays so hopefully it will be back in stock then.
I then went and picked up DD. She has had a lovely time. DS has decided to stay an extra night and my parents are over near my sisters this weekend so they will bring him back in time to go to the cinema with OH tomorrow. He also has plans to go to the cinema with a "new" mate this week - so am really pleased about that. I've been trying to encourage him to be more sociable and get away from the computer and the house more! He takes after his dad in ways I wish he wouldn't!
I've managed to get the front room all clean and sparklely! I have fixed my fairylights by changing some of the bulbs so they are twinkling nicely over my fireplace:j (across red berries and leaf effect)! I've bathed DD and put all clean bedding on for her. I washed it all at 60 degrees in the hope that it helps with her eczema. I've done loads of other washing too - and have put some out to dry on the line! Which is a result:T
The weather this weekend has been absolutely amazing which has really helped lift my mood and giving me a general feeling of well-being. I got 2 pairs of glasses for £70 last year - including one pair with magnetic clip on sunglasses that exactly fit the glasses. I was able to use them with the sunglasses for the first time today. I've done loads of driving this weekend - but mostly motorways - and my arm has coped really well which is encouraging. I think though that that was also helped by the fact I've hardly been on the computer at all.
The journalling and time to myself really helped too - as did a controlled dose of retail therapy. I got a lovely raspberry pink handbag from Next yesterday for £16.:D I also wanted a new purse - and I've just found a leather one in a drawer that I bought ages ago and never used so I am going to swap over to that which will be nice. My stuff from Amazon still hasn't arrived - so I am protecting my touch screen phone with a sock at the moment which is ridiculous!
I've agreed with DD that if she helps me keep the living room tidy every day - that I will pay for her £5 orange top up every month! :jShe agreed! Result! She is a fantastic "tidyerupper". I told her I'd bought a box to put all my things in each night - she told me that would help a lot as I was very messy !!!! LOL She was also quite concerned with how much spending I'd done and told me I'd bought enough stuff ready for my birthday now. I explained we had now repaid our debts so we could splash out occasionally. She then told me not to go mad ! ROFL :rotfl:Is she 7 or 70?!!! She can be so grown up!
OH got back safely - which was a relief - as I saw quite a nasty accident on the way home and for a second I thought it could be him!!:eek:Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

We now have clean bedding on our bed too! Always nice first day on. We've got one of those quilts that has 2 different tog ratings so we've separated one out tonight too. It is really warm here today.
I've also realised that the purse I found is big enough to put my htc in (soft leather) so I am going to use that until I get my "proper" case.
Anyway night all. I am feeling a lot more positive - including towards OH which is a relief. And I feel the house is more under control and I am more in control and ready to start my week. Only 9 working days until my Easter break anyway which is something to hold onto.
Hope you all have a good week and thanks for reading and your support along the way!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well this week has been okayish. Parents visited yesterday but they took us out for tea and I had a good chat with my mum by myself when I we nipped to the shop for something. They were supportive for once which felt good. My dad looked really grey and ill which worried me. My mum has managed to get some work which is helping their finances.... They also gave me the £25 that they owed me for DD's present and £15 towards Easter...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi guys
I had quite a nice day working from home but then had a medical appointment which made me cry! I just seem very emotional very easily at the moment. But still struggling to sleep despite tablets and been in pain more than usual the last couple of days.
I've told lots of people at work now about my operation so I am glad it is now largely out in the open. But I don't know whether the op is still playing on my mind and whether that is why I am still struggling this week
To cheer myself up - I decided to get on and book our agreed holiday (the first holiday abroad in about 4 years). I went via quidco and got loads of quotes - and eventually got one from low cost holidays. We decided to go for 10 days - before tea the price was £1775 for an all inclusive holiday at a particular hotel. I couldn't find my credit card - so by the time I'd had tea and hunted high and low for my cashback card - about 2 hours had passed - and the price had come down:j £225!!!:money: So we are going on holiday for £1549!! I am really made up with that - and stunned!! £200+ price difference in two hours.:j:j:j:j I was so lucky - I went to book on the original quote and it kicked me out - and I thought - I will just re-enter everything - and I got the same flights, same dates, same hotel for the better price!!! Woohoo I think God was definitely on my side with that one!! I also got £30 discount and 3% cashback :beer:at some future date hopefully! The three other sites I checked were at least £500 more than that site anyway.:money::money:
We've decided to go for 10 days so we can really chill and relax and its so long since we've been abroad. Because its all inclusive its not like you have to particularly take more money with you or anything anyway as at that particular hotel you can have icecream, drinks, snacks etc all included all day long. They also have kids clubs which could come in handy. Its a 3 hotel complex so has quite a few swimming pools and a choice of eating areas. When we've been before some of the entertainment has been first class! Now we just need to hurry up and get the kids passports renewed!!!:eek::eek: We're going early June so need to get our skates on
Its a relief to have it booked and know we are going somewhere. Another positive thing to look forward to. Hopefully I'll have a nice tan this summer - and get a good dose of "light" therapy from the sun before my op in July!!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
