    Hi SavingH,
Wow - you have lots to think about, sounds like there is lots going on for you.

Your OH sounds a little bit down.

there seems to be lots of deals to be had esp for Portugal, due to their recession.

Hi CMD - yeah there's loads going on and it is hard keeping a brave face at work. Yes I think my OH is down and I have advised him repeatedly to go to the GP and sort himself out - but he never has - advised him to do it again today... Wonder if he ever will!

Kids are both going away on a camp end of May/start of June - should give us some time together... Have suggested to OH that we plan in time to do stuff together even if it is just a short walk in the evenings... Really hope it happens

I think booking a holiday will give us something really positive to look forward to. Don't know where it will be this year... Next year want to aim to go to Florida!! We always said we would do that if we got debt free so that's our next target to save for that:eek::j

Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate atm savingh.
Hopefully things settle down now as you're finally debt free!!! :)
Should have less pressure and if you start doing things together, that'll help.
Holiday will definitely be a nice thing to look forward to.

Hi Tirl - I just sent you an email with some stuff I do with people at work who are job hunting that I thought might help you. It is copyrighted to me LOL!

Well finished work for the week which is nice - but 2 medical appointments tomorrow. :(Hopefully things will be a bit clearer after that - and I am getting a weekend of peace. I am due to have my hair done this saturday too... so a bit of pampering...

Weirdly - I ordered 4 amazon parcels 2 weeks ago, 2 arrived, 2 didn't  so I have had to get replacements organised for both without any hassle which is good:cool:. I went to the sorting office to check today but there was nothing there...

DD had a parents evening today and she is doing brilliantly other than being a little hypochondriac!:p She complained of chest pains the other day - so I said oh like a really sharp pain - she said yes - so I prescribed a polo to make it better and it worked!:rotfl: OH was all for taking her to the doctor!! He had been really worried!! Apparently she hasn't tried that one at school!

Coming back to the title of my diary - my dream is to be a coach, speaker and writer - and I think I am definitely moving forward with those. I am coaching people in my day-to-day job which I get a lot of fulfilment out of (its the admin side that weighs me down) and I am (due to workload pressures) increasingly doing group workshops as a way of delivering key messages quickly to groups of around 8-10 to make the best use of my time.

Each time I deliver the workshop I get better at it and can think of more examples to use and adapt it to my audience so I think this is now giving me great training and experience that will help me in the future. ;) A lot of the best speakers only have one key message - and I am now starting to realise why.

I have also had to prepare lots of materials for use on my workshop and as part of my daily job. Ultimately I want to write self-help books and now I am getting the "client" experience that would potentially enable me to do that... :j

So I feel more hopeful again, that despite my salary not being what I think I am worth, that I am still heading in the right direction.... I had people on my workshop today laughing out loud and they all said they felt more positive at the end than they had at the beginning so that really gave me a boost too!:T

hi tirl - I sent them as online documents so you shouldnt need specific software to open them - that was the plan anyway!

Thanks for the positive feedback. that was me on a bad day too lol when we spoke... I feel a bit more positive today. I spent the day telling other people to think positive and do a gratitude log and remember to focus on the good things in life and not just the things going wrong - and thought hey I need to re-apply this to myself!

Just downloaded a load of free apps for my new htc phone! Be interesting to see how many I end up keeping lol.... heart rate monitor and all!

I have htc wildfire as it was such a cheap deal and bf has htc desire hd which I love but find too big to carry around (and too expensive for me).
I use cardio trainer to log my runs, cycles and walks. I'm sure there's better ones but I've started with this one so will just keep to it.

Bad day you say..you must be good!! :)

So extra things for my gratitude log
    1. I walked 1.2 miles yesterday on top of any normal walking
    2. Today I did some walking around town and got OH some stuff from the health food shop that was in their penny sale :money:so got one thing full price and a second for a penny which was good
    3. The weather was nice today:j
    4. I left work at a decent time for once and was only less than an hour down on the week which still means I have at least 1.5 hours credit left:j
    5. My arm hasn't hurt as much today - party due to less computer use
    6. There are loads of free apps available for my new phone including ones I would have happily paid for
    7. I got £7 in clubcard vouchers through today:money:
    8. Both the amazon sellers agreed to send me a new parcel without any hassle
    9. OH offered to take DD to McDonalds for some quality time without direct prompting and has agreed to take DS to cinema Monday as a result of our chat yesterday which is really positive:beer:
    10. BT infinity is superfast compared to what we are used to - :jand we are now switched on wifi wise as of yesterday. I only remembered to convert my phone to wifi again today when my DS pointed it out to me! :o Because we both got the same model of phone he has been able to show me lots of shortcuts I wouldn't have found by myself:T
    11. My DD is delighted with my cast off phone and very proud to now have one. she gets free music downloads which we intend to make the most of - although we haven't used it yet :rotfl:I am going to order a new cable to go between the phone and pc as I lost mine for that phone. She's set the alarm on it tonight so she can wake up when she wants to in the morning and I've set her wallpaper to a picture of her and her nan
    12. she's stopped complaining about weird pains

thanks tirl - when I was talking to you I felt in my head like I was wading thro treacle trying to get the right words out- an impact from tiredness and the tablets I think. Glad it didn't show.

I downloaded lots of apps including one for geocaching which I would like us to give a go as a family

    Hi SH

things seem to be moving on in lots of ways, but it looks like the grind of paying stuff off is getting to your OH a bit. You may need to practice your coaching skills on him.

Did you ever do any more with the website idea you were working on ( I think it was you anyway)
