Learning to live my dreams not trample on them

Thanks EE - yes it is not an easy decision. He is 13 and I'm just worried that if all his mates are on it and he's not that he will be left out of things by accident. He's already missed a skating party that was organised on facebook and I don't think that is fair... still working on his dad tho. His dad is in IT and sees the dangers posed by IT in the way I see danger on the street!!
Well today was okay. Used 6 cocod, 6 tramadol and 2 ibuprofen just to get thro the work part of my day!! I did have plenty of energy for our treasure hunt this afternoon which was good. I was driven there and back which helped.
Tea was roasties left over from yesterday with grilled chicken and lots of yummy veg. I then made the mistake of nipping to the shops and DD insisted on coming - and I think I've overdone it! Put it this way - I feel completely shattered. The tramadol at night has been giving me very vivid dreams and stopped me falling fully asleep for a few hours. I was also feeling extremely itchy through the night. I know its medication based and therefore this will only help psychologically but thinking of asking OH to help me change the bedding LOL
Just hope all this extra exercise pays off in some weight loss! Have stood still / gone backwards this week which is no good at all.
I was a bit naughty in MrAs and came home with a £30 floor standing lamp for my living room.... Need OH to put it together for me....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi SH
Glad the painkillers are giving at least pockets of relief. Well done on the weightloss - I've just re-joined ww online - my final attempt, if I don't lose in the next 3 months which I've paid upfront - I'm not parting with anymore cash to slimming clubs - but I'm pleased with a 3 lb loss during my 1st week!!
The FB issue is a worry though - we see the pitfalls they only see the advantages. decisions, decisions!!
Life here has been fairly busy, trying to curtail my hours in front of the lappy a bit - it is so addictive LOL - will keep popping on to catch up though!!

Nice to hear from you Milann..... Yes I am trying to reduce my laptop time - partly to see if it helps my arm heal...
Well up bright and early again... A colleague is taking me to a meeting in another town and it is due to be a long day. Things have gone reasonably well this week, been up an hour and not taken any painkillers yet which is good.... I will do shortly though as don't want to get to the point of bad pain and then waiting for them to take effect.
Not lost any weight so far this week - which is a bit of a blow - I thought with exercising a bit more that I would lose more but not been the case so far...
Bye for now need to finish getting readyAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well managed another full day at work today - but arm has been hurting quite a lot tonight... got through most of the day with only low level pain which is a comparative improvement. Getting a lift to work and back definitely helped.
Feel restless now tho and would enjoy driving to a big Asda in the next town and say looking at clothes or whatever but that isn't doable which is frustrating.
I did get a free costa meal tho which is nice and a £10 voucher from woohoo arrived today.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well got thro another day! Really want my life story to be a better picture than that but still struggling! :(Pain is under control by taking 19 painkillers a day! I managed to do an extra hour and half today which should help with future medical appointments. As well as the 3 hour cushion from annual leave - I've worked about 3 extra hours this week already so should manage an early dart on Friday.
Rang the doctors today and organised getting 3 prescriptions ready for my next injection visit on Friday afternoon.
The highlight of my day was visiting the M&S sale I bought
:j- a floaty top I'd seen on Saturday for £30 - I got today for £17! Woohoo
- a skirt reduced from £40 to £22 - really nice ankle length floaty one
- an abstract multicoloured top for work reduced from £14 to £7:j
So in total spent £46 - all on size 16 clothes!! Result! So my new wardrobe is coming along well. I hadn't lost any weight this week - in fact I'd gained a pound however I had lost 1 percentage fat point which is good and since I started measuring myself about 3 or 4 weeks ago I have lost 3 inches:j from my waist and hips! 1 of those inches was from the last 9 days so that cheered me up! OH is delighted and can't wait for me to lose the rest of my weight... I pointed out he needs to get with the programme too and start his own diet programme! :rotfl:
Everything else is going okay - other than my great desire to spend lots of money!:rotfl:especially on lighting and clothes!! Trying to reign it in!
We are thinking of trading my car for an automatic - that would make my job easier at the mo as I am having to get lifts if I have to go too far...
Hope you are all doing okay....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Step away from the shops SH! :rotfl:
Just think...when you drop another dress size, these clothes will become redundant, and you could've got even more flattering (and long lasting) things if you'd waited :dance:You know it makes :money: sense
And no, that's not permission to stock pile the next size down ready and waiting in your wardrobe!! :rotfl::p

I felt really miserable all day today apart from when I delivered a workshop LOL! I don't whether that is just my workload or whether it is cos it is my normal TOTM (altho that hasn't arrived yet) Really hoping I feel more positive soon...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
