Considering that I only got up at midday -today has been busy and expensive! I made a smoothie and then went into town with DD, and fed her a happy meal. I opended my new regular savings account then I took a top back to M&S today for £9 but bought 2 size 16 vest tops for £5 each instead.... I am having hot flushes at the moment :o so need respectable tops but that have as little fabric as poss - the one I wore on friday felt a bit loose and actually therefore a bit more risque. For £5 they feel very nice material and were in their exercise section - I bought a pinky orange colour and a black one...

We then came home and I spent literally a couple of hours :money:trying to find a fridge freezer that was suitable for the garage and comparing prices before finally getting one via quidco. I then fed us all a chicken dinner tea before sitting down with the kids and watching a DVD I picked up yesterday for £3. I fed them popcorn and flying saucers and they were pleased! So nice family treat for less than a fiver!:money:

After DD was in bed I then went back out to MrAs and picked up some things I forgot yesterday and picked up something from the chemist. I took some shoes back to MrAs and got a refund of £12.50 :jon them but bought DS some PJs for £6. They have a picture of a gas mask on them with the text "contains poisonous gas" - :rotfl::rotfl:couldn't have put it better myself! He really likes them it appeals to his sense of humour!

I've just treated myself to a Lila floor lamp:j from BHS via quidco - it is pricey at £105 but will get 5% :money:cashback via quidco -and when I first fell in love with it it was £150!! It will be a joint birthday present for me from my parents and my mother in law - with some money from OH they just don't know it yet LOL! I'm going to put the lamp I bought the other week in our bedroom on OH's side of the bed and get rid of his old lamp which he hates and we've had about 20 years!! It just wasn't quite big enough to make a visual statement and in the lounge that's what I am looking for.

When I read the book "why am I so disorganised" she recommends that you only keep things that are useful and beautiful - and she feels things should be beautiful where possible... So trying to streamline and declutter but put some extra beauty into the room as well if poss!

Inspired by Gill's thread and thoughts of a more beautiful house - I have tidied out most of my kitchen cupboards this weekend. :D Everything in there now has a designated place again and fits. I got DS to put away the silver plated cutlery hanging around since xmas back into its special case!! I threw some more past its best plastic stuff away and some out of date food

So my kitchen is now as clean and sparkling as it can ever be when it is in constant use by a family!! Hopefully DS will do some cleaning this week and mop the floor. I got him to tidy and hoover the lounge today too as I didn't want to end up paying him for cleaning if in practice I had done it all myself!

The fridge freezer arrived safely and they took the old one away for free:beer: (it should have cost £10):money: so that was a godsend. OH tidied the garage a bit to fit it in so now I can walk thro the garage again too - so it has been a productive if slightly boring weekend. I've filled the new fridge with loads of fruit and veg but the freezer will probably stay empty until my next grocery shop. We are really pleased with it tho - it is the same height as our old one and has one of those pull out ice tray holders.:D Very important with all the smoothies I am making at the moment.

I am still washing the clothes as ever! I have made a roast beef dinner today but didn't fancy it for myself for tea so I have put in a tub to take to work tomorrow and reheat at lunchtime. That should help improve my day. I've also done a tub or roast beef and veg for OH to take to work. That should save us some much needed lunch money!:money:

I ate some loaded skins I made for tea. DS is taking some to school for his packed lunch he is going to eat them cold and I have made more which should be enough for me and DS to have tea a couple of other nights in the week:D. OH isn't allowed them on the atkins diet and DD doesn't like them....

DD had a friend over to play today so she was happy with her weekend - and tidied up:cool: ready for her friend coming so that was good too.... We watched another DVD I bought tonight - Because of Winn Dixie - it was a feel good film about a girl and the dog. It was pretty good and the kids liked - all for £3:money:. Another little "family treat" - this time they had peanuts as a snack altho I was really shocked at the calories so didn't have any myself.

I've still not been sleeping that well so have felt really tired all day... really need that to improve. I've been having to religiously use my moisturisers on my hands and face as my skin has gone really dry. However I've just revarnished my nails -they have been doing really well since my blood transfusion so that is one thing to be grateful for.:p I can't believe the weekend is over already! They just seem to fly by...!

Well done on the card. You have been incredibly busy this weekend. When out with kc I showed her the apartments where I want to downsize to, they definitely lend themselves to tidy living.

    thanks Gill

Well today has been okay so far. Got lovely hugs from my DD tonight who got the first ever pen license in her school! (allowed to write in pen instead of pencil). LOL She was thrilled to bits!

I paid £100 into my new reward account so that is now set up - so hopefully will soon earn £5 a month...:j just need to transfer in another £900. I won't be able to keep it there long! If I made it my main account I would get another £50 but worried that could affect my mortgage so don't intend to do that. Apparently they also reward you for using a credit card with them too - If you spend £300 a month they give you a fiver :j- so may do that but only if I can trust myself not to spend more. If I buy my insurance thro them would get £50 - but I would need to be convinced that was cheaper...:money:

I paid nursery £60 today - and they said that was £30 too much so that is good as I have effectively pre-paid 4 sessions so that was good...

Hi BZ - your pencil writing has to be sooo good before you are given a pen license - some of the other kids given a pen license yesterday were 11!!

Today was okay but my arm is really aching tonight in a different place to normal - just taken one lot of tablet an hour early

I set up my new account - transferring across payments including into a new savings account. The money appeared straightaway so that encouraged me and made me feel that it was safe to move the money between the two accounts.
