Thanks Tirl
Well today DD had an inset day so we had a really girly day (she's 7 nearly 8) - I put a touch of eyeliner on her bottom eye lashes and then a cream coloured eyeshadow, some blusher and a touch of my pinkest lipstick. I then painted her nails pink and we went shopping! She was offered the choice of bowling or a trip to the shop and she voted for shopping LOL! So we had lunch at debenhams followed by a trip to the disney store where she bought some stuff in the sale. I picked up a pressie for her birthday too. She then wanted to go to toys r us so we went there too and she used up her next month's pocket money on some special pens and I picked up another pressie for her birthday (will be getting the money back from my mum) and she got an icecream. So minimal cost to me - but she was absolutely delighted with her day.
I however am now completely wiped as we were out about 4 hours or so...
I've been a bit money obsessed this weekend - and suddenly realised that while we are due to be in overdraft by around £800 in the next few days - I have that exact amount in savings so in real terms we are breaking even... Once we've both been paid at the end of the week we should wipe out the overdraft anyway and only go back into it a little towards the end of the month... I think my car insurance is due this month - and that will have £300 sat in a savings pot towards it - for the first time ever...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi guys - well this week is going ok. Physio has signed me off as having full function but still dealing with pain. Work are being reasonably supportive though.
We're a bit behind financially where I'd like us to be but I think with all the medical upset and diet changes that it is reasonable. OH is now doing atkins which will push up my meat bill but may save on junk food longer term. At the end of the day - as the whole hospital thing as shown up - without your health you have nothing - hence our new focus on diet and healthy eating. We still need to up our exercise but we did a national trust visit at the weekend which was at least a start. OH is doing walking at lunchtime too... We still need to get back to the gym - but because of my arm pain that is still not really doable for me, not on a work day. I'm using all my energy just getting through the day and fighting with hot flushes!
Clinique bonus time starts tomorrow so I am hoping to buy a nice moisturiser for my skin and get some other freebies...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

My weightloss is still going well - I got lots of compliments at work today on my weight loss so that was positive... I was wearing my new £7 top from last week's sale - and it already felt loose so definitely think I am still losing inches. I dropped another 1.5lb at today's weigh in which gave me a much needed lift...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi SH
sometimes I think losing inches is better than losing the actual weight. I've been through phases where I've lost weight, but because of changes in body shape (hormones etc.) don't look slimmer, and others where things feel looser, and people pass comment, but have lost no weight or very little.
You are in a much better place financially than this time last year though, so can give yourselves a pat on the back.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Thanks Gill
Lost 2.2lbs overnight which was nice. Shame I hardly slept!! Today has been busy but there were some bright spots in my day. Worked late - only got home after 7pm. I got given the ultimate compliment on my nails today - I got asked if they were real or false. They are real, shaped by me and proudly sporting a number 7 plum colour... I was really chuffed.
Diet is going well today so far at least. OH still persevering with atkins...
DD is being all gorgeous and cuddlely. She has red nose day tomorrow and can wear her own clothes and wants me to redo her makeup for her again. Bless, she can be very sweet.
I've been offered a car renewal price of around £323 which is very good I think and about on target but that seems to be quite a lot more than last year so want to know why.... I am going to check out some comparison sites to see if I can get a better deal but quidco compare didn't have anything betterAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi - well lost another half a pound overnight which is nice. I was at around 1300 calories yesterday rather than the 1500-1700 I normally do so it evidently does make a difference
Need to rush around now and finish getting ready for work. Put my clinique moisturiser on yesterday evening and it has made a massive difference to my face already - it feels all soft again so really pleased with that. It was in the freebies pack. I put some much cheaper moisturiser on my hands so they are better today to. I need to make sure that I keep looking after myself.
Hope everyone else is okay... and that you all have a great dayAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

You are doing so well with the weight loss. Am glad you are looking after yourself as well.

Thanks CMD always happy to help
Well today almost got into trouble as was rather late into work and it was noted by my boss but we have a flexi system and I am significantly in credit so she was ok about it - she just said she was concerned in case I was ill again... Just explained I hadn't really slept for 2 days until around 6am so struggled to get up and going....
I am about 5 hours in credit at the moment tho so that should cushion me for a while. I went with a friend to Costa today and we had lunch and then I led her astray and she bought some clinique too and went away with the lovely tin of goodies!
I need to try and see if I can get a better deal on my car insurance this weekend and then go from thereAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Yay to flexi systems. It's funny how managers look on it really. My ex boss used to frown at me when I walked out of the door at 4pm, as most people stayed until after 5, but I'd generally been in since half seven.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
