hi tirl - feeling better moodwise - just arm pain still to deal with

Ok day today. I'm training some team mates on aspects of my job tomorrow so hopefully I may get some help soon.

I've bought 2 tickets for the alton towers live concert but not told DS yet - £55 each plus booking and delivery fee! Ouch! We decided not to stay over - £191 for a basic room was the key reason!! I wouldn't mind but the rooms aren't great and all the park tickets etc are still on top. Will need to come out of holiday or family treat budget... I think I need to set a bigger one at this rate... but still overspending even on the food budget so not sure what hope there is of that!

I found having a treat to look forward to really worked last year when I also had a rubbish start to the year so hopefully it will work this year too! DS will also be so grateful!:jI haven't told him yet :rotfl:

I bought the tickets via quidco which seems to have tracked so should be getting £7.14 back from that at some point as well as £20 for my tesco diets subscription! It is great when you can get cashback for things you would have bought any way.

there is a great camp site just outside of Alton towers stayed there a few times roughly £17 a night for three adults ... however the stoke on trent travelodge does a family room for four for £19 a night ... we dont camp there anymore not with the prices of the hotel .... ok it isnt alton towers but if money does become tight it is an alternative ... you could always add in Thorpe park to the holiday it's about 2 hours south of there ..... Hurley has the best camp site ( well non wild anyway) that i have been too ... can you tell i like theme parks lol

Thanks El - we don't actually live that far away from alton towers I just thought it would be an extra treat but not at that price. Just not worth it!

Came home from work slightly early today as fed up and in pain!:( OH did the same LOL. Got home and DS is cleaning which is a nice surprise. Not picked DD up yet - enjoying the relative peace without her.:p

Loaded MS Office onto my laptop last night so now I need to download my banking into excel and stuff.

Was weigh in day and I have lost 4 lbs compared to last week which is great.:j

Thanks Tirl - today was a bit better. Found out tho that the Dr had forgotten to ask for my iron to be tested as well as full blood count - so need to arrange another one which is very frustrating. Am going to doctor's tomorrow to see if there is anything more they can do about my arm and my pain.

Had lunch with friend from work today which was nice but workload still high and stressful.

Trying to persuade OH to let DS have facebook - but OH very worried about that so not agreed yet

Hope you get some joy from docs...don't they know people don't like (esp extra!) needles?! ;)

Ah the eternal FB dilema...if the privacy settings are right, and he agrees to let you know what he's doing (maybe even using a password you know??) and who he's adding then in theory it should be fine..? The biggest issue with fb is that their highest security settings aren't the "norm", and very few people actually bother to look into it to change them...imo
