hi gill, bevan and milann - it is a regular reunion! Thanks for posting

The darlings were so badly behaved that it made me want to quit!! Luckily I am not on the rota again until jan so will have time to review... Think might stick with singing that can be more rewarding!

Generally things are going well - spending too much still but even by the end of the month we will have paid off £3k since August so not bad going just not as good as it could be! Not helped of course by equipment failure around the house!

the approval for my job going perm keeps getting delayed - hope it will be in the next couple of weeks tho! Which would be good! Have way too much work to do tho. Really I hope I get a helper in very soon!

Got DS to make most of dinner which was chilli with rice and got OH to make us sausage, beans and mash for tea. It was one of those real need comfort food days.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it on here but my daughter's feet after a year and half of being under a specialist are practically back to normal and they think she has now got almost full movement back (the muscle was originally stretched too tight making her toes stick up) and her toes are now back in the right direction. They've said they will keep her file open and I can arrange a check up in 6 months or so or when she changes shoe size but they said they expect to sign her off. I have to say she is far more willing to exercise now. She went on the wii fit for ages today despite also going to a party.

Night night all - done 4 loads of washing but started a bit late so only just got the last load on. I have also done the dreaded dishwasher and hoovered the lounge altho not sure you can still tell lol since my DD has been doing craft stuff!

  • Hiya SavingH,

Sounds very busy in your world :)

Sounds like great progress with your DD's feet too. 3k is a lot to have paid back since August. I hope to make great headway next year when/if we move to Scotland

Hi Gill I expect to know about my job within the next 2 weeks and if I look at my workload which is rising exponentially there is work for me for a long time to come! I've finished my little recruitment exercise so hopefully help is now on its way...

Well I have just made my first ever orange loaf - its currently cooking in the oven - hope it turns out as well as last weeks banana, date and walnut loaf! (or better) Yum! I used this recipe minus the almonds as I can't stand them! I think if I made it again I would up the quantities by at least 50% as certainly uncooked there didn't seem as much as when I made my loaf last week. I'll let you know what I think once its fully cooked!

Well the loaf is scrummy - I would definitely up the quantities tho. I also used the juice of a full orange rather than the half they said - it is moist but at the right level. I think rather than their butter icing which I haven't done - if I bother at all I would be tempted to try and make an orange drizzle icing but I don't think the loaf will last long enough for that to be a problem. I think next time I will also try to make some orange crystalised sugar and add that to the top some how... (need to check the internet to find out how to do that).

It all nearly came to a disastrous end tho as just as I put it back in the oven for 5 mins more - DD threw up! OH and I did a joint effort to strip the bed and her and sort her out new bedding. Threw other stuff in the wash and put it on straightaway which also kyboshes some of m work plans for tomorrow. Think I will be off in the morning with her - OH has to be in for 6am for a special event so he is going to try and swap with me at lunch time so we can swap over and I can go to the work for the afternoon! I have 2 meeting tomorrow pm which are quite important so needs must and all that!

Well I finally got to woohoo payout on woohoo so £10 voucher on its way. I have to say bingoport was much more efficient at getting vouchers quicker but I just got fed up of posting where as now i just get given points to play with daily and then play them while watching TV which is destressing.

I am getting into cooking to as a way of winding down. I bought a new scale recently which is making it easier - you can just put any bowl or whatever on it reset to 0 and weigh in grams or ounces which is pretty good. Cost me a tenner from Mr As. My food processor was trying to give up on me today - I really hope it doesn't as I am only just getting in to using it having had it years!
