Had a really good day CMD. Went to church at night instead of the morning so had a long lie in and then cooked pork loin chops, home made roasties and loads of veggies as well as making soup for tea!

Really relaxing day. Tomorrow really need to get stuck into decluttering tho!

hi Gill - thanks for thinking of me

The weather hasn't mattered as we have had lots of duvet style days:j and a little decluttering lol!
    • We have also bought a new hoover £50 but did get the £10 :money:in vouchers from Argos
    • I have had an eye test and paid for 2 pairs of thin lens glasses - £105 all in (£10 off for buying 2):money:
    • and tried to resist lots of other temptations!
My parents have given me the money to buy xmas pressies with from them as they are away - which is good - spent half of it already. MIL has agreed to buy DS the main thing he wants - we just need to put £15 to it... So the pressure is off as far as DS's xmas is concerned which is nice... He's getting the other key thing he wants from my parents ;)

I am thinking of getting DD a camera for xmas - the one I want(vivitar pink) has come down £5 to £25 so not bad at all. A camera for me that someone recommended has come down to £49.99 at Argos - so will pick it up later and just spend a fraction more so I get the £10 voucher. That will then give me another £10 :money:to put towards pressies!

I have already spotted an aqua beads starter kit as one of the uses for the £10 but need to find something else for £10 too although if the camera stays at £25 in Argos long enough will use it off that!:money:

    Hope you are all okay!

I looked at a statement for one of my cards and the 0% runs out earlier than I thought - luckily I get paid half way thro the month so will make one payment from October's pay but in November and the next payment straight after I get paid!

I am not going to hit my goal of paying off 2 cards by xmas tho which is a bit disappointing so really should look around for some 0% deals to do.....

If the beads are for DD, haven't Argos got a toy offer on at the moment. I'm sure my sister was saying some things were 2 for £15.

Glad you had a good break, and have got the children's Christmas sorted, more or less.

    Hi SH

Sorry I've not been about for a while but life has been busy - not sure why because I am working less hours

Sounds like you have CHristmas sorted - don't be too hard on yourself by not paying 2 cc cards off - you have to live too. I always find if I set too high a target I get dis-heartened and end up blowing it. I've learned to set more realistic and flexible targets and to be happy if I reach them and then I can be chuffed to bits and very smug if I manage more than I expect. I have been far more successful since I have worked this way as there is usually a unexpected element or three thrown in the mix for good measure!!

    hi gill and milann

Some wise words there! I think you are right - if I look back at Xmas and look at what we will have paid off since August it would still be pretty good!

Well today has been busy - church then DD had a party and then DS was going out for tea. Made a cottage pie for tomorrow (plus one for today) and some soup. Also been hoovering and tidying up front room and hall way!!

I am due back at work tomorrow - and I am dreading it mainly due to workload.... I am sure it will be okay....

    Thanks Bevan

First day was okay apart from a mistake I made before I went on leave which came back to bit me today! It is fixable tho so I need to just let it go....

I was glad I had made the cottage pie yesterday as just had to heat in the oven and then was yummy. OH took one of my soups into work... A compliment I think!
