Worked a shorter day today and had lunch with a friend. Baby sat for friends tonight - but borrowed a couple of DVDs Avatar which I haven't watched yet and Time Traveller's wife - read the book but don't know what the film will be like

hi jellie and tirl
Well got home at a decent time today and watched Crystal skull together as a family on our new TV. the colours are definitely brighter.
Strangely OH can't get the old TV set up as a computer monitor so BZ it could poss come your way if it is any good to you? We just kept having problems with freeview boxes and switching it on and off at the wall sometimes if it froze but generally it was okay.... 32inch.... lcd
Then when kids were in bed I did another 2.5 hours work to get me feeling less behind. Hopefully have a 1:1 with my boss Friday to discuss workload etc but feel right now it makes more sense to try and keep on top of things even if it eats into my free time. I will get the time back at some point - if I accrue enough hours - I may convert some of half term's annual leave into flexi leave to guarantee I get the time back if you know what I mean.
My cellophane has also arrived for my hampers so can have a play with that at some point this week too!
Anyway bye for now.... hope you all have a good week!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

That would be AWESOME!
Would also mean we could give our current (your old!) tele to the (6 person) family at church whose tele has died recently and they don't have a replacement:A

(I was gonna suggest that you could if you wanted, so what does that say about me too! :rotfl:)"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
You are really organised already.
I've started to pick stuff up, but not to the point any of it can be made up. Every year I say I'll start early, but I need to be in the mood for Christmas and that doesn't happen until December! I suppose its different if you have children to think about.
Hope work calms down soon. Someone in my building who has been brought in to do work on restructuring was saying she has over 150 accrued extra hours at the moment and has until next week to complete loads of job evaluations - there just aren't enough hours in the day for her.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Hi Gill and BZ - Gill I get really stressed if I leave xmas pressies to the last minute.... I prefer them to be all organised and done... I also hate crowds so the thought of shopping when its heaving or going to big centres like the Trafford Centre just fills me with horror....
Well today felt very busy too. Paid DS to mow the lawns front and back to give OH a break... He did some tidying of his study and throwing things out so that room is now much improved...
Got up late - so at least had a lie in but then went and picked DD up from her nan's 25 miles away before going to see if piccies were ready from SIL's for MIL's birthday present but they weren't so then had another 15-20 miles to go to BZ's to drop off the TV. Motorway problems added to the journey time as I had to go the long way round. BZ was chuffed with it so that was good - just hope it doesn't give her any major problems now!
Then went with DD to a local pub where I had a late dinner and she had a gianormous icecream! Nipped to aldi to pick up some bits and then came home.
Watched Avatar which was really impressive and then cried through parts of Time Traveller's Wife before preparing my youth talk for tomorrow... Just finished! Strangely I have a slight headache now!!! Still enjoying our new TV - all the colours are brighter and crisper already even without hd free sat or anything like that...
Eating an apple and then need to go to bed. I have just put a load of washing on - but only because we spilled coffee yesterday and mopped it up with a towel as you do which was then starting to smell LOL.
Night night all - hope you are having a good weekend!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
