Thanks Tirl - she rang me and apologised today and said she'd got sucked in - unintentionally. I got interview feedback today I came second and it was a very close thing - if I'd expanded on a couple of my examples it might have swung it my way. I've also done more prep for Monday's interview but there is more I can do but I'll do it at the weekend
Boss still happy with me. Discussed what happened yesterday and she was supportive... not sure what will come out of it tho...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Had a very busy day today - then rushed to the doctors to get prescription. They didn't want to give it me without a review but doc was running late so eventually agreed. Have given me another appointment for 2 weeks time but may see if can ring up on the day and get a different appointment. I've also got another appointment thro about my arm.
Hairdresser appointment tomorrow and still need to do more prep for interview over the weekend. Will be glad one way or another when it is over with and will need to consider options if don't get it as don't want to just stay as I am...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well it's nice that she rang and apologised, how do you feel about it though?
Sorry to hear you didn't get the job but as I said, there's a reason for it... Good luck with the other interview on Monday, fingers crossed.
I let my line manager and boss know yesterday that I was going to start looking for jobs seriously now and they were fine about it. Big boss promised to give me a glowing reference.

That's nice of your boss Tirl.
I've been trying to prep for tomorrow's interview which is the one I really want - I know I can do the job - but I am a bigger risk than the others as more of my experience comes from before working for them.... Let's hope they can see past that and give me the opportunity anyway.
I've had my hair done and have a new top and have lost some weight. I've also spent hours trying to read and understand things I haven't had to use in my day job for some time... Trying to make sure I use the right examples tomorrow and don't trip myself up.
Other than that good weekend. OH looked after the kids most of yesterday including taking them to the cinema yesterday night giving me some much needed peace. we then watched skyline - don't rate it! I watched voyage of a the dawntreader while they were out - I enjoyed that... DD has had a friend over to play after church so she's happy and I have some yummy cakes baking in the oven.
The washing is pretty much done- we started yesterday for a change. And a pre-cooked today's lunch yesterday so that made coming home from church and eating easier. Still have half left for another day.....
I'll be glad when tomorrow is over and I know what's happening with me and my role - things feel like they've been up in the air for 3months they've taken so long over their processAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi guys well I have spent most of today preparing for my interview... Really hope it works but hey I can only do my best and then its up to them. Will try and get up early tomorrow to go over last little bits and refresh my memory. I have tried to prepare summaries of things I think I could be asked about. Also want to allow plenty of time to make sure I look my best.
Wish me luck!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi guys - well at least I got home at a decent time today which pleased DD. DS is considering swapping French for German next year as he really struggled to learn his lines for French - altho his teacher has told him today his speaking test was okay. He says he still hasn't got the rest of his results.
Our home phones have stopped charging - we've tried changing the batteries but they still don't work - don't understand why not. So really we need to buy new phones as at the moment can't access our stored directory phone numbers of phones - so still can't calm some of my friends back which is frustrating...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
