We have a problem with our phone batteries not keeping the charge too. We have a normal phone that is our internet phone and lots of times I have to leave it on the charge cradle and put it on speaker phone and sit on the floor in the hall to be able to talk to my family :o

Hi Tirl - I gave in and bought some new phones tonight - £55 for 3 phones but could have done without that bill

Had a really horrible day. Didn't get the promotion - did well - but someone else did better

Still have issues at work - really hoping things improve tomorrow

    Thanks Lu and Tirl

Tirl - I think you are right - I do need to get on with my business

Had a better day than expected altho started it in tears! Cried yesterday too. Had a nice evening out with 3 friends (working mothers) last night tho... and we are hoping to make it a regular thing. It was nice to go out with other people who have similar challenges altho our kids are all at different ages.

    I'm off work in a couple of weeks - for a week - I can't wait...

    Thanks CMD

Yesterday went okay altho I worked a really long day - it went super busy at work and I like to see things thro where I can. Have a meeting with my boss early next week - want to use as an opportunity to talk about future and may mention completing special form at work (relating to running my own business).

MIL has an operation next week - its straightforward - hopefully - last time she didn't even tell us she was having it. Plan to go and visit her tho either in hospital if she stays in or at SIL's house if she doesn't. I have to go back and see the consultant to get the official results from my arm - and also need to rearrange my GP appointment as I have now double booked myself!

I joined the gym with the kids today - and its going to cost about £60 for the 3 of us - which is not cheap but with me currently weighting the heaviest ever I have to do something. The kids got to swim today - I did about 45 mins in the gym and about the same in the pool so got my money's worth today at least! Hopefully that will help me stabilise my mood, build up my energy levels, eat better and get slim, fit and healthy - and do the same for the kids. Before xmas I was paying £10 a month for DS to do something else that has stopped - and pretty much something similar for DD - so in real terms its only about £40 of new spend. We could save that a month just by less fritter spend so I am going to try not to over-worry about it. I am off at half term with the kids (at least some of the time) so that will potentially give us something to do together which will be nice.

I was very tempted to go away with just OH - perhaps even abroad - but we can't really justify that kind of spend all at once right now and I felt this would do us more good. OH has managed to join a gym that only cost him £17 pcm but its near his work and too far for me - and under 18s can't join and there's no pool - so no good for the kids. A friend of mine is a member of the gym so it may be that we can sometimes meet up at the weekends if she takes her grand daughter or something

I think I've managed to regain my equilibrium which is kind of essential.... I now need to map out more of what my business can offer and what price to sell it at and through what channels. Ideally I also need to get new business cards printed. I am also looking into doing a PTLLS course on an intensive basis - trying to see if a friend can get us a good deal - OH is also interested in doing it but they are not cheap. I might also be able to get some relevant training through work which would be useful - thinking of asking my boss - if instead of doing that - could I have the day and half they would have given me to attend that towards attending PTLLS and that way I would have to book less time off work.

OH had to work today but he got home just as I was serving tea - so we all watched aliens in the attic together which kept the kids and OH amused. For £3 it wasn't bad but I prefer toy soldiers myself but there we go.... In the last few days I've also started buying some things from Amazon that I think my DD would like for her birthday even tho its not until May.

At some point need to check my bank account and set up a payment for my cashback CC - we had a relatively low spend on it last month so pleased with that.

Thanks Gill - kick duly received. Talked to boss today - no other promotion prospects in the offing - and interestingly she was saying I would be ideal at my company idea... so I am going to submit the required form at work, buy some extra holidays and go for it

I am also giving a brief presentation/story at a course this week so have been refreshing my materials on that. I last gave it about 3 years ago - and I have to do a very much more condensed version but will use my original handouts...

I'm going to nip to Mr As in a min - need bin bags, ibuprofen, cash, ham, strawberries
Tomorrow I also need to try and change my gp appointment as not done that yet

Hi guys well I've been to the gym 3 times in 4 days so pleased with that. I've been discharged from the hospital re my arm which is good. I watched a kettlercise class today from the treadmill (I missed the start of the class) and may do the class in a month or so - the trainer however suggested I perhaps start with a legs bums and tums class so I am hoping to do that. Just been watching biggest loser - trying to motivate myself through that...

Really hectic day tomorrow and have a course tomorrow early evening and then we are supposed to be going to the neighbours but we have no fixed time as far as I am aware. Cleaner comes tomorrow - but that means still have some sorting out of stuff to do tonight and you know how it is ..... it can feel like everyone left it to me!!

Still need to sort out a gp appointment - aiming for thursday now

Going to go up and have a shower now as need to be up really early tomorrow and out - Typical! The next two days are relatively early starts for me too but hopefully I can turn that to my advantage and get to gym classes and still spend time with my kids.

Hope you are all doing well... I am hoping that the gym also gives me a distraction from shopping and somewhere to take the kids that is already in the budget rather than an extra....
