  • Belated Happy New Year I have been doing a catch up.

Things seem to be going well for you and everything crossed that you get one of the promotion jobs :)

Thanks DT at the moment things seems to be going much better than the same time last year. Really hope I get one of these promotions as it would put my career back on track... If I don't really must pursue own business

DS had party today.... an hour here first - where I gave them dominos piza and other goodies and then OH took them adrenaline tubing down at a special snow/ice slope quite a distance away. I made a cake for him that was similar to what they were doing. Very proud of my efforts! He was made up and thought it was a stunning cake as did his friends. I cheated and made one extra cake which is actually the one I cut up and sent his friends away with. I was ready to cut up the real one LOL

I also watched the film unknown today... it was quite good

Hi guys today has been okay. Was very late to church but stayed quite a while afterwards chatting to people. Made a soup today - very yummy. Had lost another lb today which is positive. done 3 dishwasher loads and 3 or 4 loads of washng today. Also let DD have a friend over to play for 3 hours or so. I did dance central 2 on the kinect for about 40 minutes - now ache so need to have a shower before bed to hopefully ease things off

I didn't get the promotion which was very disappointing but the person who did was already doing it on a temporary basis.... I am getting feedback later in the week and still have an interview next week for an even higher level role. I am still going to go for it - even tho part of me wonders if it is pointless - it will hopefully give me experience of interviews at a higher level - and nothing is ever wasted as they say.

If I don't get that one either will refocus on setting up my own business. I was talking to a friend at work and she is trying to set up a similar business so there may be stuff we can do together.... So that might be a new avenue to try

Don't be too disappointed savingholmes. Maybe you didn't get this one so you have the option to get the higher level one next week! So go there and give it everything and believe in yourself! (And if you don't get that on, it's obviously a sign that you should definitely concentrate on your own business and that is just the worlds way of letting you know!) There are positives everywhere you look!

Thanks Tirl - trying to stay positive

Had okay day. Still on track hours wise for the week - despite bringing a friend home for lunch and staying away from work for an hour and a half! At least I live local to work and have flexi time - that's worth a lot!

Well today was the pits of a day - got home about 8pm and then did another hour plus work after that. I felt a friend stabbed me in the back today which shocked me.... Can't say more in case my identity every got unmasked!! Suffice to say I am well and truly naffed off!

DS got full marks on the German he revised with me but doesn't seem to have done very well on his written exams.... A bit concerned - he still hasn't mastered basic exam technique of reading the question, sticking to the question and managing his time... He's lost the french stuff he prepared - and has to learn for Friday - so he either does it again or finds it quick as its French he intends to continue next year.

Cleaner has been today which is a blessing and I've been paid. DD has also for £1 finished sorting out the clean washing - folding it and even putting some of it away! Bless! Not spent enough time with either of my kids recently.... never mind my OH. We are thinking of going away at half term just the two of us for a few days... we'll see...
